before cleanup drive it was dusty and dirty from inside.

FJ/BJ 40 is a true egend. Will never die.

13BT and 1KZ are good engine options.

1kzte is a very common swap, anyone making fj40 or bj40 is told 1kzte is paapi engine & 5vz
so since its my own jeep so thinking of throwing a turbo charger possibly Ct20 and charge in 3-4psi.

However later once I'm done with 2B turbo I would like to explore 2LTE. I have experienced the sheer power of 2L in a prado 1992 while climbing kandol lake near utrot kalam valley. Iiterally it was a very tough climb and once the guy crossed the check post near kandol lake he told the Post guys to lock the front wheels. I was like why is he doing it so early. And as soon he took the turn I saw the road going to the moon directly. I was like it's not gonna climb that. But it not only reached till the lake smoothly and after reaching I jumped off the front door to see the engine heating. But it was on optimum temperature no ragra at all.

Roger that, I did the very first thing removed those ugly looking stuff instantly.

A friend has swapped 3C-T in his FJ mated with 5 speed manual transmission (I think H151). We went to Panjpeer on its first ever test drive and it turned out to be very good.

Best thing about this swap was that it was light on pocket compared to all other options.

Yes I'm trying the options which are light on pocket. Im up for enjoying the 2B turbo this time. Let's explore it.
We can conclude a 2B turbo as designing manifold and turboing it is piece of cake for me. Plus I have one 1B lying in my workshop aswell.

So idea is to see what economy & power 2BT DELIVERS
as we all know how these biggies (1kz,2Lt, etc) are for and everyone knows about them. For 1kz I have heard from many that it's a diesel guzzler.

Oil condition, looks like it's oil turned out to grease. Looks very old.

That's the air filter used. You can see how low quality it looks.

Wiring was in bad nick, will later on install a fresh loom.
For the time being ignition switch was not working so bought it new.

Hazards and indicators weren't working so was the parking. Bulbs were fused. Cluster was also not functioning, the old owner had installed analog after market 2inch dial temperature gauge. So got rid of that.
Repaired the cluster, it had bimetallic strips so dry solds were broken.

Had new Fender indicators at workshop so installed those. Ordered cheap rear lights. And installed the cover of those in orignal metal reflector back lights.

And got rid of that big guards on tail lamps made of metal via grinder. Then told my denter to clean the rear bumper via sanding disc on grinder.

Back doors had rusty pieces so got them repaired and installed new metal pieces. Horns weren't working so made them functional. Had two bumper fog lamps available out from the potohar sj410 so got them installed on front and told my electrician to wire it by hiding the wires for the first he just brought the wires as it is out from grill so told him to tuck it up.

Rear right side Pillar windows edges had rust so got new metal pieces installed on them aswell.

He's tariq, he's a nice chap and pretty experienced denter in the age of barely 25. Working since he was 12 years old. Worked in peshawar, kashmir. And lastly was running his own shop in peshawar which ended in covid days.
So has pretty good experience on working on jeeps aswell as cars

Body bushings are in very bad nick.

Check out those leaf springs... They're damn too hard since the jeep was used for loading purposes there.
So gonna revert back to 7-8 leafs.

One reason for that black engine oil may be this air filter as well because cheap quality air filters do not filter good and pass the dirt and dust to the engine which turns the engine oil very dirty. I had a chance to learn this once when first time in my life I gave up on original air filter due to high prices and opted for the cheapo air filter the oil change guy was offering for a fraction of price to the original but then on just 1000 kms run my new oil was as dirty like it used to be on 5 to 6k km on the original air filter.
