Dear All ,
CNG Buses are famous only in Delhi,Bombay(Mumbai),Calcutta and Some Other Metros.Else ,state transport Corporations uses newer Ashok Leyland Buses(like the one you can find in gulf and dubai to be precise).there are many models from same manufacturer.
CNG Buses are manufactured by Ashok Leyland(Successor of British Leyland),Swaraj,TATA(and marcopolo of brazil ,some models),Eicher,Kinglong(chinese),hyundai(limited no.s) etc.I think volvo and mercedes benz are also contemplating for CNG buses in India.BTW ,Volvo and Benz are already in Indian market.
Bus Body Builders like Azad,Sutlej,Prakash,TVS,ACGL etc are famous.CNG Buses looks not much different from Normal Diesel Ones.
Low Floor Buses from Tata-Marcopolo and Ashok Leyland(I like Leyland bus ,which is very comfortable on long distance journeys):
