Ok I changed my meter did a DIY. Old meter needle was jumping at 100km

I did not find any pulse with multimeter but today i connected it to the SPD wire and i did check my car at 4 RPM for around 7 to 8 sec but no check engine light i was with family so didnt push it too much.

here are the pics i hope this will solve the vss issue

See the new meter pics what you think can it generate the pulse needed?

Ok guys I tested the car today. Pushed it to 6 RPM and stayed there and no Check Engine Light So the ECU is getting some pulse.

All sensors connected no more check engine light.

Circuit Opening Relay installed.

ECU BATT got live wire with fuse.

Other than A/C connection (That is wired directly) everything else is 100% the way it is suppose to be

route the A/C through the ECU - it also affects ignition timing when the A/C switches on, keeping your engine accelerating briskly.

When A/C switches on the vacum type switch installed on firewall also connected directly with a/c compressor wire creates vacum and RPM raises and i guess timing too? as Map must be taking this as load on engine if i am not wrong.

Thing is I dont have a/c amplifier and got a normal thermostate installed. Is there any other way to wire this?

The A/C swith ON signal is fed to the AC1 pin on the ECU and the ISC pin grounds the vacuum solenoid on the firewall to introduce a vacuum leak. As the timing is ECU controlled - hot wiring the vacuum solenoid will not increase timing whatsoever.

In all traditional ways of toyota - there is a call and answer - the call is AC1 - the answer comes from ACT (AC tach) from the A/C amp, its the compressor rpm sensor it should completely match the IGF signal from the ignitor.

SO - what we can do is - make up a little relay that can pass IGF signal to the ACT pin also.

SIMPLE.. clear as mud eh?

when i wired up mine, i just hooked up the AC1 pin. I feel the engine runs a bit better. As i dont know and have no way of knowing which wire is coming from the AC tach, I havnt wired that one up.

the A/C tach signal comes from the compressor rpm sensor to the A/C amplifier (AC guys in karachi call is card) - from this amp its fed into the ECU. You can wire it up with the IGF signal too. But would need a small relay to switch the signal to ACT as it should only be seen when the compressor's pressure plate is engaged.

I am trying to understand this. AC1 pin will get signal from a/c on means when i turned on a/c i should also get the 12v positive from the a/c switch.

vacum solenoid already got positive from battery and negative should be connected to ISC PIN?

Relay part samajh nahi aya :S

Compressor got 4 wires i guess coming from its switch and only one is connected all others were dissconected by the super electrition

Ok I tried to understand this and used my hardly used brain heh.

Because we dont have card or amplifier available we will use IGF signal to ECU ACT.

how what we need to do is like this.

Steps how I am gona do it.

1 - I will take the cable out of thermostate which goes to Compressor and connect it to AC 1 as well so it will see positive when a/c is on.

2 - I will Install a Relay that will get positive from Thermostate to Compressor wire and connect IGF to ACT so when thermostate switches AC on the ACT will see IGF.

3 - I will give positive to vacuum solenoid (From battery with fuse) and connect its negative to ISC PIN

I hope i am correct

the AC2 pin is used with the amplifier, its a kind of feedback that the compressor rpm signal is incorrect to make the amp cut the A/C compressor and flash the A/C button or light up an error in the gauges. Your mental image of the ACT is correct.

the VSV is for the evap purge solenoid that is hidden beneath the throttle body.

BTW i can also try to search for RPM signal from compressor hmm there are 4 wires comin from compresor the stupid electrition connected only the one that engages clutch and dissconected all others.

the compressor signal is not understandable to the ECU in raw form , it needs an amplifier to translate.

Can this also have any effect on RPM on A/C like low or high? If i connect it the way you said.

Yes lagey raha gey bhai Swaps are not easy as u very welll know

VSS is working its not giving anything on multimeter but my ECU is getting some pulse so no more CEL no matter how much you push the car.
