these TOYOTA "A" series ECU's (most of them have the 26-16-12 ECU pinout layout, most of them not all of them)

So you don't need an exact JDM 5A-FE wiring diagram.

just find TE1 and E1(connect them via a simple check light bulb+wires)

And start up (register any DTC's, if any and resolve them (if it blinks continously everything is okay) and remember after everything don't forget to wash the DTC codes by disconnecting the battery)

And be patient bro , Rome wasn't built in a day
you have swapped a new engine and are bound to run into a few " teething" problems.

here is what i made by reading off the ecu board itself!

box with dot = connection/pin currently wired up!
box with red dot = both connections wired up with single joined wire
box with green dot = diagnostic connections to read ecu code/ set base spark timing.

what are these and where do they go? any of these related to error code 42 ?

your Batt And +B Connections Are wired together from relay ..if yes the BATT and +b both gets cut off when u switch off IGN????
BATT is directly connected to battery with just 15A fuse in series and it won't get power cut when you switch off ign.......!!
if its done like that.....your ecu goes reset everytime you switch off car and turn on.....its the not the way to wire it up.... :S
ecu needs constant power to remember readings also

SPD wire also not hooked up
Code 42 is Due to That SPD wire Not Hooked Up....!!
Code 43 Is of STA Signal...But It Usually won't show up.....!!

vsv=vacuum Switching valve( charcoal canister related)
AC2=a/c compressor related

CCO = in the diagnosis box
VF = diagnosis box
FC = fuel cut (goes to circuit opening relay)
NSW = neutral start switch (common connection with STA wire from key)
E21 = sensor earth (reference earth)
AC2 = used with A/C climate function
AC1 = A/C on request from button
ACT = A/C compressor tach (a/c rpm sensor)

Sorry for asking the same question again i am still not sure. From the ABOVE pic it means I also got the CF (Cooling fan on my ECU) so i am still not sure how will i connect it to ECU. Like shall I run a cable from the positive wire of Cooling fan to the ECU and connect it to this CF point in ECU? And do the same for other ELS points?

If You Ask Me...Leave These Things alone for now...don't make it all happen suddenly else you will be confused....!!
1st make the most important stuff get worked like i say STA,SPD and correct that +b,b1 and batt connection once for all
put main 15A fuse and relay
leme see if i find the diagram i draw for my ecu......just for an idea....!!

in this image you have a good idea how relays actually goes like EFi main and fuel pump...and basic Stuff powered like that

My wiring was grip to grip so I feel these STA SPD should be connected. Only wire cut was Air temp Sensor one. Still i will check this. All these experiments will be done soon.

Saturday i am gona get the throtle body cleaned. Also spoke to the pathan i bought engine from about Map sensor he says the one i gave u is fine still he says he got no issues in changing it for me.

I will get the A/C fixed lets hope it will turn on or more wiring work.

My Audio system no longer working :S I guess he cut the wires from glove box area.

STA Wire Is hooked Up with starter Solenoid and It Only Have +12V when you crank engine....once done.....no voltage....!! it just have voltage till you are cranking and engine starts....!!

about speed so SPD wire comes from cluster panel...the VSS from gearbox feed signal to your meter and make it work and then your meter generate pulse which ecu needs.....!! you are using sensor type meter or wire driven???? 96% swaps here don't even know about SPD but its important...
Infact my BT ECU directly through me a CEL once it know there's no VSS signal when you drive in some gears....!! i got it work later....!!

My Gear had those wires but he removed them and install manual ones so my meter which is wire driven can work. Hmm To work it with wires do i have to change complete meter or just the speedo meter ?

Speedometer but the dial should be compatiable with cluster also...
its good to change the whole cluster once for all......get the one with oil voltage gauge... looks wala (h)

The one i got is with the Oil pressure guage and Voltage guage.

I am not sure if the digital one will be available for this model

the CF pin is routed from the fuse box side from the (Bosch) green cut off (ulti waali relay) - the signal wire comes from the engine block sensor - which when hot cuts off negative - i.e. at cold the port should be earthed - at engine fan operation it should get not get earth. (controls engine rpm that way) - you can also hook up a VSS inside the speedo cluster if you have a cable type. A good meter repair place can do it for you cheaply.

For the cooling fan wiring - you will notice that the wiring pin ends at the 4 pin multipoint cluster near the firewall - this is the A/C high pressure/low pressure switch, which in any case - will break the ground connection to the engine temp switch kicking on the fan(s) at full speed - it is also wired up with 3 relays controlling the 2 fan speeds of the radiator

For other bits n bobs - first start your engine correctly, with the major pins in the ECU working, then work around with the additional ones
