Today I got the steering redone.
1. Steering Box changed(original) Rs. 4,500
2. Steering rod changed(original) Rs 1,500
3. The brakets of the steering box also changed(original) 1,500

Now the vehicles feels great. No play in the steering. Previously it was handling like a supermarket shoping troly;). Now it handles like a CJ 7

Congrats bro on yr new ride Hope u r enjoying your new ride , i always liked its simple stock look , 3c turbo is a good engine , try it off road and on road and then decide if u still want a bigger engine .

Khan sb thanks a lot.
We really enjoyed the trip to ur place and hospitality aswell.
As far as the engine goes it performs gr8 on road. I havent tried it off road in real terms as yet. Lets see.

Though I found its original AMC 4.0 Petrol engine and original 4 speed Gear box yesterday.
And its not expensive aswell.
Now I am itching whether I should go for that swap or not.

Yes it does considering that the engine costs around 25K and gear box around 15K
The guy(Kabria) at Bilal gunj said that the engine that he can arrange will not even require rings. Every thing will be on standard.

As you can see that the vehicle already has the "4X4 Engaged?" stickers on the doors I am planing to join the club as soon as my fine tuning of the CJ is complete.

Thats sounds like a sweet deal actually but has to be approached very carefully to make sure you don't land in trouble as finding decent parts for the original CJ7 engine is tricky....

The original CJ7 engine is a 4.2L and you have to make sure that its not the 4.0L Wrangler engine which has the front 4x4 diff on the other side as the CJ7 transfer case. I think CJ7 drop is right side while the Wrangler is left. Though I doubt the Wrangler one will go for that price...

You could mate the Wrangler engine to a CJ7 gearbox to solve the issue but there is a speed sensor in the flywheel which is tricky....

Thank you sir for providing the vital info.
The engine I saw was not a wrangler one. It was an original CJ 7 engine.
But I will certainly be careful.
I will not like to go for the wrangler engine as I dont want to get involved in the elctronics and ECUs.
Want to keep it stock and simple.
