Glad to know that OP is in good health after having been blessed with safety in the incident.
This is the third incident that I am coming across in which the airbags did not deploy. I absolutely love the Civic. But sadly, what HAL is putting together is not a Civic we expect, demand and deserve.

For the best interest of people around and to mitigate further chances of such incidents, my brotherly advice is to take up case with HONDA ATLAS. Because, here is how we could bring change to this nation. We experience and suffer bad things around and we remain silent that “IS KA TO KUCH NAE HONA” so that view point makes things worse.

There have been many problems with Honda Civic which have come to public's attention, including fire hazard, but Civic is still fully booked, so I think public is mainly to be blamed. They will buy anything with brand logo, regardless of quality and safety. I only know of one relative who bought new Civic and he sold it after 3 months because of multiple quality issues, but mainly because of blurry windscreen.

Airbag issue phenomena front airbag deployment depend on the front collision rod in every build car upto now if its not damaged no airbag will be deployed in any car so get your facts correct. following you from 2 years you leave no chance behind without bashing civic being a total stereotype toyota fanboy.

My car never had modifications done to it so after market upgrade story is out of the window.

There are impact sensors in the car which sends signals to the airbag control unit upon sudden deceleration which in turn sends signal to the alpha inflator to deploy the airbag. SRS system failed to work as designed and that is the reason airbag did not deploy in my accident. Regardless, a warning to civic owners “ next time make sure to have the accident head on only “ to ensure airbag deployment ! Funny design. & if that is the design then Allah bhala keray if someone else hits u from anywhere else !!! Good Luck !

Secondly , car blowing up after an accident is totally flawed engineering and that is my plea to Honda to investigate their new Civic reported fire cases at least to find the problem. Keeping eyes closed just because the car is sold out does not mean this crucial safety issue shouldn’t be rectified.

I see you talk in favour of one company and bad mouth about others. Simply my idea is not to put honda down rather I tried to send a public awareness message so people can learn from it. ok agreed but it have never being quoted that during accident there has not being any gear petrol or engine oil leakage or short-circuit causing that massive fire accident can cause anything and in many there is always some oil leakage under the car and about airbag i told you in only open in front collision as 2 airbags have sensors in front ONLY as there are no side airbags SADLY. and yes honda should even then investigate this maybe it there manufacturing fault. Last words from me for this thread that things that matters is that you are safe Alhamdiullah and good luck raise your voice so that some action is taken by company.

I agree. I personally have both Civic and Grande, and I think both cars are low quality, profit focused products by their respective companies. Not a single local car meets international standards. No one would buy them if imported cars are made duty free.

there can be number of reasons for fire ,First of all sorry for your loss ,I think damaged was done to the fuel line which causes the fire rest with plastic body parts and interior all was history

Extremely sorry for your loss brother and my heartfelt sympathies with you.

For a car to catch fire like that most DEFINITELY indicates there was a FAULT in the airbag circuitry or the wiring assembly in general was not done properly that it short-circuited and ignited.
A frontal collision be it front left or front right or should have deployed airbags given you were wearing seatbelts.
And even if the car rolled over four times it shouldn't have caught fire in the area you described. There is absolutely nothing under driverside dashboard that cause a fire.
The way you have described, this is a sure-shot case of manufacturing fault and were it any other first-world country Honda atlas would 've peed it's pants, apologised, recalled the affected models, and paid you due compensation. Shameful.

Further more adding to it the car struck the divider from right tyre side.... it is even mentioned in Corolla and other tutorials that cars struck side ways or from front underneath below likely do not deploy air bags....

We don't know the situation so sensibly i don't want to give any verdict.

But the matter is why it got burnt with fire...???? Honda should respond....

This is a front half side collision. I have seen civics with frontal collisions with deployed air bags at 3S...

Could be a fault at Hondas end, could be a situation of front side impact getting above the divider hitting from underneath.....

Fire is a QUESTION to be answered by Honda???

oh please dont just jump up to things like getting paid and blah blah like defending something wrong in respect to AIRBAG thing does not mean you are being paid this choti soch should be ended you should digest your wrong fact this is totally wrong video in this some part of front has also being crashed so thats why front airbag opened while the above case front crash beam is totally protected.
