First oil change inquiry

Assalam Alikum... recently bought corolla 1.3 1350 on odo according to 3s at 2500kms oil will be changed only not filter and they pour petron 20w50 should I switch to synthetic at 2500kms or from 5000kms ??
Is there any effect of not changing oil filter at 2500km first oil change as filter too contain used oil?
Shell helix ultra would be my choice as I'm using it from a long time

Congrats on new car, Mashallah.
If Odo is really 1350, slap Toyota for using 20-50... Use their genuine 5w-30 oil- Perfect.

New cars now don't really require breaking traditionally as older cars used to do, you have run 1350 km, i suggest you to get the free oil change at 2500 kms from 3S for warranty purposes and then switch to fully synthetic oil. i don't really think changing oil would void warranty but in honda Atlas case warranty gets void, and anyway they hardly claim warranty and only engine warranty would get void, rest suspension gearbox etc warranty would not be void.
Don't use 5W-30 in your corolla, consult the viscosity chart in the owners manual,heres a pic, its not for hot climates, use 5w-40 preferably liqui moly, or if you can stretch your budget use mobil 1 5W-50 advanced fully synthetic, i am using it in my Altis and its driven 6800km driven and i also switched from petron plus 10W-30 to it and performance is amazing now fuel economy is also good

My father has a rolla gli '12 and at 900 when I checked the oil, I found metal shavings coming out with the dipstick. Change the oil to shell ultra and a genuine toyota filter.

shell ultra new pack fully synthetic is 5w40....but its too early for u to change now....change at 2500km with new oil filter

I visited 3s dealership for first service at 1000 kms they asked to change oil at 2500km

You're supposed to run thick and heavy oils in the break in period- A car with thick oil breaks in faster than a car with thin oil.
I personally use 5w40 oils- ZIC, Caltex, Shell and LM.

I changed oil at 2000kms of ma new Gli.....Use Petron Plus 10W -30. ...Best.....Rest if u hav no budget problem Mobil 1 is the best one but I dont use it since its quite costly....Totota recommends to Change 10W-30 oil at 5000kms but I use to change it after 3000kms.....10W -30 is better than 20w-50 as it made the engine noise less and bit lighter too!
