bottom line, honda got feedback and listened to what people has said about 2012 civic. Its a bug fix model and in doing so they have come up with much improved model now.
Some people has a habit of comparing indus corolla to civic, if IMC assembled corolla has quality issues that more to do with Indus not Corolla and they do not has such issues in other parts of the world. Corolla is best selling car of all times, they must be doing something good.
Same goes for civic by Atlas in the recent produce, they have also produced a bit low quality civic! Now if the include these changes into Pakistani version, soon the better!

The near future upgrade in USDM civic will be "Earth Dream" Engine with CVT so Redbee is right, Honda will change this model completely well before time !!!

Can't say anything for sure for changes in Pakistan

umair bro.. thanks a lot for keeping us updated about civic.. the information u share is everytime very interesting and useful.. im planning to buy new civic in two months span... m ystance is that there aint drastic differences in both the models (talkign about the present one and the reshaped one).. the interior is what brings the real charm to new civic but that again is not sure that even after getting the reshape, will we be getting the same leather interior or the same plasticy interior that we already have here

Bro I would say a better way to convince yourself would be to realise that facelift won't come here at leasts for next 2-3 years but if you compare changes than there is improvements in Car's performance also.

1. 110lb extra weight is added for sound isolation so cabin is quieter Now
2. Engine is fine tuned to cater for extra body weight so fuel ratings are Not compromised
3. Suspension is tweaked for better handling
4. Steering ratio is changed by 7% for more sporty feel and feedback
5. New Civic now gets a bigger and better brake pads for improved stopping distances

In short it is a much better Civic. I wished Honda had launched this in first place. All above mentioned points were highlighted by Consumer Reports in April 2011 when Car was launched in U.S. Honda Cannot bear negativity in U.S as buyers have option we on the other hand have NO option. Commercial Companies don't work for welfare or to make us happy , they work for money and Honda Atlas is not an exception sadly

Anyway... trust me bro and trust me every one.. the new facelift aint making it way to Pakistan before at least decemeber 2014.. I am not having any inside story or news.. its just my intuition based on my little knowledge and experience ..

Thanks brother I am glad that I added to your info. .. The Only change in the near future is the Navigation Unit which will be replaced with an Android Platform. Same Chinese Origin but with Android. Some additional Security features will be added with the Nav Unit ...

1. Auto Tranny comes very handy within City Drive. I came to realize it once I switched to Automatic myself

1. It may be surprising for us but for 9th Generation Civic Automatic Transmission is more fuel efficient than Manual One. Auto is 39 Miles/Gallon highway while Manual is 36 MPG which translates to 15.3 KPL for Manual and 16.5 KPL for Automatic.. See the following link for reference

It was surprising for me as well when I learnt it for the first time so Honda did work on their transmission for new Civic as oppose to common perception on the forum ! ............... This time Prosmatec is more fuel efficient

Even Hyundai cars have much better Shape and Design. They have really improved in last couple of years.
Honda could do much better but i dont know why they are continuously coming up with ugly designs.

I cannot agree more with you guys. Koreans are designingnmuch better looking cars both Hyundai and Kia.

Honda and toyota are lacking behind in exterior styling..

Imagine if hyundai and Honda jointly collaborate for a car design... with engine and transmission of Honda and exterior styling of hyundai ... that will be one master piece of a car !!!!
