Assalamualaikum hope you all are fine by the grace of almighty ALLAH ... if anyone here has a passion for sports fishing or just fishing i wanted to ask nowadays i am looking for a good fishing tackle in the budget on 10k rps fortunately i visited hyperstar karachi which is just newly opened and saw some fishing setups there they were varied in prices some were even as cheap as 2k rps only and i the costliest one was aroung 6.5k rps ... so please guide me in the range of 10k should i go for the ones at hyperstar or shoul i buy it from some other shop like aghas sport fishing,mahigeer, etc ?? regards
Depends on which type of fishing u r interested in,and which kind of fish u want to target.Since u r located in khi,I believe u'll be interested in sea angling.Now sea angling further has subcategories,such as bottom or jigging,trolling etc.A gud sea angling setup could set u back as much as 15k including line and lures.trolling setups are more expensive then bottom or jigging setup.I was in khi in last week and visited agha,didn't found variety there but mahigeer has gud equipment.U should first decide which way u wanna go and then buy equipment accordingly.

Thnx for the much needed help ... well i need a casting setup which i can also use for trolling occasionally .... but casting setup would be good for me .... i am new to this sports so trolling is a distant thing as of now for me ... well u visited agha and mahigeer u bought anything or not ???

lol first of all i am not a proffesional fisherman ... these nets are used by real macheras for commercial fishing... if u have seen these boats with nets u can see they fish indiscriminately they catch everything even small sized fish which are meant to be set free they are destroying our eco system especially here in pakistan .... handline fishing is rather good :)... yeah i've seen this program on discovery must say they fish in unbearable circumstances ....love this
bhai jaan...kiya kar rahaye hein...casting set up shouldn't be used for trolling,casting rods are like toothpicks compared to trolling rods..:),Yeah I bought line and hooks from mahigeer.Anyhow,ur best bet would be to join some like minded ppl especially some experienced once's and learn from them.For a start try Pakistan Freshwater Game Fishing website and their facebook page.
yeah u maybe right .... i should visit angling shops here in karachi in that case i will get some good idea on buying appropriate tackle ... btw u know any good shops here in karachi ????
^ ^ ...NOooo..U should first choose from which type of fishing u want to start with than buy tackle accordingly.And for this U should get in touch with anglers in your area.As for shops I have already mentioned mahigeer and agha.
