Assalam o alaikum!Friends i was always fond of making minor modifications or addition to my wheels. m lucky to have a bike of my choice. the Honda Cd 100 2012 Model.I wanted to give it a heavy Classy look.apart from the Round Big visor head lamp and front wheel with a big hub, which gives it a semi classical touch..still catches many eyes.Moving on to the topic, as this bike has a small battery, that makes the fog lights give a tough time to the battery and the generator.. for this purpose i was in search of cree leds that give equivalent output to that of incandescent but lesser consumption. through detailed searching i found what i was requiring..Flood Lights:Low power consumption.Bright Light in different colors.Less temperature output.Coming in a very attractive aluminum enclosure case.
I used the set of same flood lights on my bike. each consumes 10 watts..so a total of 20 watts putts no stress on engine or battery.I connected them in a way where it can only be turned on when the ignition switch is on or during the start engine(Obviously).some pix:
i know few places the installation is worst than amateur but its just for making things go.each piece cost me 600 rs from Chowk Yadgar Peshawar by default it works on 220v but to my luck i found a small voltage converter box inside. removing that box makes these lights run on 12 volt directly. The next day after the installation was a dense fog and thats where it came handy.that day it catched almost all eyes on the road.my bike was visible in fog to the on coming traffic. Yes these can be installed in cars as well. it comes in different power consumption. the higher power led, the bigger frame it comes with.any advice in this regard needed..m here to help thanx,Nihal
GOod Brother i like your idea and work doesnt police bother you with these bright lights in night?
Congrats brother This selection of lamps and the area of placement is indeed peculiar and youve done a very innovative jobMy question is..... Isnt the front shock absorber coming in the beam's way? And shouldnt the lamps be placed away from the engine to avoid any heat damage to the LEDs? How is its performance in the night? Post some picturesAnd just one advice, plz make sure they r not blinding the on coming traffic
@fazalwahab11375 shed some light on this new thing.
Thanx for appreciation brother.but in peshawar..u are very fortunately UNFORTUNATE for being stopped by police for these lights.
can't you alter the chrome part inside to focus the light more rather than spreading it? just like retrofitting projectors. have a nice cut off:)
Thanx bronot the shock absorber but the front wheel lock surely comes in its way but it does not effect its light that much..the rear cabinet aluminum box is though a bit closer to the engine but i never noticed it getting hot specially in winterz.i usually tilt the beam down just for wide spread light to view the sides which my head lamp doesnt cover.. that also helps in avoiding direct light for on coming traffic..Surely will upload new pix..
A person online was claiming to have these lights in round shape, that was also more matching in my opinion.but i guess the rectangular reflector does not allow beaming due to its angles of refraction..secondly these lights are made for spread light purpose.well the other remedy might be if the leds are fitted in the body of normal fog lights that have a pencil beam reflector glass.
nice work done.... good bro
these LED lights are very bright i think it is definitely going to blind on coming traffic i am unable to stare these lights even in the pictures
Care for others also bhai
Blinding stuff
Road par cricket match kranay k kiye achi hogi magarnot for daily useDaikh lo bhai ap k illaqay may choti choti bato par fire khul jata hayYe na ho k ap say bi koi lar paray in lights ki waja say
For all people claiming that the light is bright...NO FRIENDS IT IS NOT BRIGHT AS MUCH AS IT SEEMS... the phone camera setting got messed up which i didint notice..thats why its being shown as intensively bright. I assure that these hardly cover more then 3 feet range.
so its like foglights on a motorcycle...
Night pictures can be helpful though
So then is it bright enough for a road side cricket match;)
