how accurate is the motorway report?as i plan to travel on motorway lahore to islamabad tomorrow, as right now it showing moderate dense fog on motorway but in lahore city visibility is very good, i plan to set off at 2pm and reach at 6pm, shouldn't be worried about fog right?i remember last year there was a travel advisory t section on motorway police website in which they used to give upto date report on fog and other stuff, i cant find it now, are you aware of any such info?thanks:)

You don't need to worry at all about fog at that time. I have just Islamabad from Lahore via G T road. Left Lahore at 1am. There was fog at some places but manageable.

Driving in fog on motorway is a piece of cake. Take the crossing lane and keep and on the divider wall reflectors and the yellow line and you are all good to go

Just finished the journey. visibility was less than 1km and good amount of fog from sukkheki to bhera, some fog in kallar kahaar and clear afterwards. nothing to be worried about still managed 120 in foggy areas where conditions allowed

Drove from Lahore to Islamabad again last night. Started around 10 and reached at 2:30am. Very few areas had no fog otherwise it was foggy from Kala Shah Kaku till Mandra

I turn on the hazards lights (parking lights) when fog is dense. Use them. Yellowish lights are easily visible in dense fog. Using HIDs in fog is like committing suicide. White lights totally blend in fog.
To remove condensation from inside of windshield and door glass, turn on air conditioning along with heater. One heats the inside, other collects the moisture in air and throws out of car. Try it.

I have driven alot on Lhr-Okara-Multan-Bwp-Ryk GT road in night fog. I used to drive on the white line which separates the lane keeping speed of 60km/hr, this way i would know which way the road is turning. very soon i would get a line of cars behind me. driven for almost a year like that, never had an accident.

On motor way, i sometimes drive in the fastest lane during fog at night because i know no one else will be driving there. But usually i drive on the dotted white lane separator of the first and second lane, speed around 70km/hr. no accident.

And how to keep your car windscreen clean from condensation in winter?

keep the fresh on the climate control open. Also keep the windows slightly open; may be half an inch. If you have moon roof you can open that. In case of rain, keep the fresh open. A quick AC blowing towards the windscreen/ recirculate will clears things up. Don't wipe the condensed windows, screen with hand, or tissue it will make things worse.

There are few sprays available which you can spray inside the screen and wipe it. It eliminates or reduces the condensation/ fog.

I oftenly wipe the condensed screen with hand or cloth.
