Food points in Rawalpindi-Islamabad

I tried once as was hungry and in the area but once saw the rates and quality, had to come again. The service was good and price suited me.

After surfing through the past few pages, I have come to the conclusion that ISB/RWP is a very very very very very very & very boring city with only 4 or 5 places to go for a mango man like me i.e. 1- Savour food 2- Refreshment center 3- Banni chowk 4- Mohamadi Nihari 5- Any dirty sub-standard dhaba. Even in food street at double road, all you find is typical chicken karahi with typical taste & typical rate. About fast food & chinese restaurants, they serve a very targetted & limited customer base.

There are more food points in any single busy street of Sialkot, Lahore or Gujranwala than in whole isb/rwp.

agreeeeeeeeed sir! aisa hi hai ........now u can go to centaurus only if u have a handsome amount of money with a very vaila time! fridays is v expensive, hardees, burger king, jhoney rocket are also lil expensive

I went to 'Rawal Jugni' in Saddar few weeks ago (near GPO chowk). The parking space/entrance is terrible. The place it self is good. Food taste was good but its little expensive (Just like other over priced resturants in rwp/isb).

I was in Islamabad last month and I went to TGI Friday in Centaurus Mall. Now TGI Friday is quite a famous international restaurant and as it was their branch in Pakistan I decided to try it. So I ordered Tennessee Grilled Steak for a price of PKR 2500. And my God it was undoubtedly the most pathetic thing I have ever tasted. Both of us ate just one bite and got up!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT ever go to TGI Friday. Heck we even left the fries as they sucked as well. Only the drink that we ordered was good. Worst experience ever!! Came back home and ate a bag of Lays chips!! Thank God that money was not mine, lol. Their next branch will open in Karachi, Karachiites u've been warned!!

After seeing your post decided to give it a try with office friends in lunch today and was very disappointed. Food was not fresh (Rice and roast) / bad service and not value for money.

Spot On! Its a very very very boring city. People love to pay extra money for something, which can be bought at a less rate and of good quality, just to maintain their standard.

Thank you for letting me know so that I do not have to go pay a visit just for bragging sake. 2500 is just a bit too much. I have been hogged by my friends who keep showing off about visiting the place and telling me there is DANAS AND MOOZIC.
I stayed home and grilled me some mini steaks with some vegetables and mushroom sauce. I guess I had 6 friends filled till they could eat no more in less than half of 1 steak's price at TGIF.

tried Burger King at Centaurus Islamabad.
We ordered Whopper and the second one's name just skipped my mind...i guess it was Chicken Tender-crisp.
I found them tasty. But taste is a very subjective thing. It differs from person to person.
By the way even if the twin cities are not the match for Lahore or Karachi in variety of food outlets, i still would love to go out and try different food outlets with friends and family... whenever i find chance

@hassan79 : bro did u complain to any manager there. I tried food from degh even yesterday and found pulao freshly cooked and roast very tasty. I also went with office mates. Interesting thing is some people visited them and asked fr free food saying they came seeing on pw forum and they her to check taste and post it. I was shocked to hear that
