If you are at a place where the genuine parts are not available........... there are some alternatives that can be quite helpful...................
The clutch wire of chevrolet is one area of concern as many people have faced the problem of it's end metal part breaking......... it might be because the original wires that were installed at the time of manufacturing were faulty...... but don't worry as u don't need to go look out for the original chevrolet cable............. as the one in suzuki mehran is a perfect fit :-).......... so get the best one available and the problem is solved.........
And if that's a surprise........ the clutch plate of suzuki alto 1000cc is an exact fit on chevy also............. met a mechanic who have installed one.......... he also overhauled one engine (said that the owner somehow managed to get the engine to overheat.......... knowing the cooling system of chevrolet I was quite surprised)......the overhauld with some internals new and some old was 15K........ quite cheap then what i was expecting....... original daewoo parts from azhar shaheed market........
Most suspension parts of suzuki fx are also a perfect fit in the chevy...........
Daewoo... chevrolet and suzuki do have joint ventrures but I wasn't expecting this much compatibility......
