i am planning to build a swift with g13b engine outof a khyber. so need a big amount of help from u guys. first of all can u plz give e yr phone numbers caz can talk in detail on phone.
and also tell me that is it a good idea or not and will the end result be good car?

Its a very good and a workable idea...its not a new idea though...Its been done before with success.
The engine fits almost without any alteration to the original mounts.
Only the mount at the rear of the engine near the firewall needs a lil tnikering.....go for it.

Hmmm! Well the Khyber and the Suzuki swift are the same car only in Pakistan it is called Khyber coz local made. And regarding your question, do you wan to fit a g13b from a khyber to the swift or the other way around. Khyber comes with a G10 engine not G13b, Swift gt/gti comes with the G13b. Yes the engines can be swapped either way without any alterations to the engine bay. But you do need the mounts from the Swift. I will give my number but I am in Dubai so calling dubai would be very expensive for you.

FLi_GTi or Racerf1 same thing, lol! Well the mounts are different from G13b to G10 and the more power the engine makes the more sturdy the mounts, either aftermarket or the swift mounts would do. They do not come with the engines unless you ask for them and if you got the engine with the mounts lucky you. i dont know much abt mountings but in simple terms do youmean that i have to cut the mountings on the body and weld new ones so that the engine fits. i dont have a khyber or engine right now. am finding a body of khyber and will build it from scratch, will take couple of years caz i dont have huge amount of cas to use so will have to do it step by step.there r couple of more things i want to know./ one is that after i have prrepared the body can i use the khybers suspension and breaks or noanother option willbe margalla's sus[ension. another thing is that swift is power stearing and power breaks with ventilated disks in the front and normal ones in the back and khyber is not servo assisted breaks nor power stearing and it also dont have ventilated disks in the front and drums in the back . so what can be my options about all these things.
and another thing i am concerned about is that g13b is mpfi and it ahas all its electronic goodies like ecu, o2 sensors and stuff like this so do i get all these things with a 2nd hand engine and are these too much difficult to install?

get a Half cut, it will come with all the things you require. Btw if you buy the engine and you better get the ECU with it or you will be spending more for the ECU. Half will include all the things you need, brakes, power steering, suspensions and all. You can have the Khyber brakes and suspension but its a better idea to upgrade for safety reasons. No the engine will fit with the old mounts, but I do not think you need to cut the mounts as they come bolted on the engine bay.

thanx yaar, you have answered to all my initial questions. now i wil start my hunt for a khyber body. nad can you estimate the price of half cut. i was getting the engine with all electronics axcept o2 sencor for 18000 rs. i live in isb.

that is one question I do not have an idea about, you have to go and do your own research. Just know what you are looking for and what the engine looks like and never ask for that engine by its name. Just keep an open eye! Otherwise you will be more money then you think!

if you have no idea about engine or bay,, you gonna get more confused about what to do using international forum. so i suggest you find a professional in yr area to guide you better or if possible show you a sample in real life and cost involved..

well Nashit...its a good idea....what G13B you are talking about...the one somes in Swift GTi Twin Cam one or the one in baleno.....its 16V SOHC.....have seen cars with G13B.......they are simply amazing...
as get some experties with you to get that engine and you have to do lots of mods.....all mounts need alteration.....maybe you have to remove some extras from engine room like washer bottle etc.....
i am in karachi..so just can tell you....rest Fli was our Boss so he's the man with all :)...ask him....he can help you and you can get this also done in MotorWorx......

k..... try out Bilal Gunj (not TIND) if u r in lahore, get it from Shoba (not suspect) Bazaar if u r in Peshawar.... get it from Sultan Da Khoo (not much Doonga) if u live in Isb... well..... u live in Isb... so try S_D_Khoo out.... u'll get half cuts... if u can't find it..... go to Butkhela (not BUTT) Swat..... and ask for Stolen car market.... u can even find half cut or full cuts of things u never saw ... lol!

today i saw a body of khyber. it was in pretty good condition, just some dents in the roof. it has nothing in itonly the diggi(boot), will talk to the owner tomorrow,inshallah.

btw, nashit. its all very easy if u have an interest in what u r doing. with all due respects, if u dont know wat an engine mount is, this swap will be a real headache for you. best, get someone to do it for you.

ok yaar i admit i dont know what r engine mounts but plz dont discourage some1 if u dont wana help. no one is born with the knowledge of everything. you just learn it by getting yrs hands dirty n i am planning to do the smae n inshallah i'll succeed. and for yr other advice abt getting it done from someone else. yaar i dont want only a car, i also want the pleasure and thrill of making one .

found one in isb (sariya chok) but the owner is not willing to sell it.
