For JZs eyes Only(Intake in CNG XLI)

Were trying quite hard on JZs Gli earlier n Failed to install Air Filter in it But results were not impressive. MashaAllah it took only 10mins on this 07 Xli which was also on CNg.Air filter worked all well from low end to topend on both CNG n Petrol.Friend went very happy reving it Hard

It was simple easy n cheap.
Ingredients
Drill machine.
Pipe with 2" inner DIA
And some polishing bits to make hole in the pipe.

question : how is this useful ?

1.As my friend wanted some nasty Voice of Intake So here comes the benefit no 1.
2.A bit of increase in torque.
3.These filters have long life like iv been using it for last 20 25k kms no dusts so its cost saving aswell.
4.Didnt increased or decreased CNG dosage means no affect on cars efficency.

since there is no change in cng consumption obviously there is no increase in hp. (BTW kindly look up what torque actually means.)
secondly since there is no dust on the filter it is not filtering, and letting in all the dust in the engine. these cheap aftermarket filters are useless.
it is a high price to pay just for a little vroom vroom.

its a good effort but not worth it.

If i am not mistaken this Filter is not cheap its Simota. Secondly dust didn't ruin the filter thats wat Wassay was trying to say as other filters don't hav long life they go dead becasue of dust in couple thousand kms. Wat u need to do is pop the filter out blow in air and its ready to be used again. So not a bad deal at all.

recently visited Naran etc on my civic with simota aftermkt filter.had to past through many glaciers and muddy glaciers although engine bay was quite dirty bus even for my susrprise there was not a single dust or water particle inside the shinning induction pipe.One cant expect better filtration then this.

The basic principle of These engines say tht they burn max 30 35% fuel rest wasted so efficency level is improved by some percent wth these filters if this statement even didnt satisfy you try aftermakt Air intake n then let me knew.DO hell with stupid theories be practical :-!

honestly, i'd suggest you remove it and fit the original stuff back on. most aftermarket filters in PK don't filter the air entering the engine as well (efficiently) as the OEM ones to be honest.

this leads to the oil failing prematurely.

plus the intake is sucking in HOT air, if it is performance you are after it should be lower behind the bumper to take in cold air. I really do not get the point of this.

this is what a genuine simota intake looks like and costs well over 25k. now compare that to the one @wasay_ahmed has installed or those which are available in the market.
these intakes may look good and sound faster, but actually there is no increase in performance, only bad filtration, and a loud noise.

even if you do install a genuine filter, it wont make much of a difference unless you get a chip for the ecu and upgrade the exhaust system together with it.
