Ford's engine has just been re overhauled. It starts ok, runds very well and Mehtab, the mechanic working on it took for a long drive the other day. We have noticed a couple of serious problems and head will have to be taken off again tomorrow. Here's my last inspection of the running engine on Friday just before taking a flight to Peshawar. The brand new radiator that you see is also wasted and it will have be replaced by a thinner 3 nali wala radiator. I did not check it personally and my radiator wala said he will put a 4 nali one and will adjust the thickness by moving the shell backwards...whatever this hasnt worked and the old one goes back for the time being.
great..another great project..keep posting the pics

Mohsin sb, A few introverts like me keep silently observing your project updates with tremendous pleasure, Please post updates on this, I think this is an exceptionally deserving project and am eagerly waiting to see progress pictures.
please pass me a napkin, i've made a little mess:P
Mash'Allah, that is a beauty and i look forward to seeing the finished product soon.
sorry for the lack of updates...engine had to be reopened as there was an issue with the cyll head and we had reopen it twice. However the car is now mechanically all done and at my house being painted inside and out.....enjoy the pics
engine work....when the car came to me, the owner told me that he had had the engine overhauled. When the time came to fire it up it started but there was a lot of missing and noise. We dismantled the cyll head and found water inside the cyllinders. Gaskit was visibly faulty so we change that.....started the car again and a found water again so we decided to pull the engine apart and take a look at the engine bearings....they were original babbit type and needed sime grinding and adjustment. To our horror we found that two rings were fitted in each ring slot in the piston. this was done as original rings of the required thickness were not found by the mechanic who had overhauled the engine....well! I manage to find the original set of rings from Perfect Motors. Look at the pics in the next post...these pics were taken in May and June.
The engine came back from the lathe and was reassembled....only to find two bigends siezing on the crank......engine was again reopened....the mechanic vanished and I had to go back to my good 'ol Mehtab who stoppped working on classics many years ago...I told him about my problem and a 1928 engine in pieces....he agreed to do it and we decided to reassemble it outside the lathe shop so that if we find any bearing siezing we could get it fixed there and then......take a look
