That is exactly what he`s implying. And as he has said in quite a few interviews if he leaves, F1 will be destroyed at the hands of Bernie, and that is why he should be allowed to continue.

I dont think the fight is bigger or harder.The next two races will be crucial. Raikkonen is making heavy weather of what should be a very straight forward march towards a second world title.
BMW are still a little behind Ferrari and Mclaren on pace and need things to go their way to win races as happened in Montreal. All things equal, neither BMW driver can beat Ferrari right now in a straight fight.
As for the red light.....it has been in place for many years. The great british hype is colour blind.
Poor Alonso! This is the second race where they have missed out on big points.

The track has been misbehaving for the last couple of years. Read this about the track on one of the forums. Talking about winners and losers of the Canadian GP....

Hamilton says there is no stopping him

Lewis Hamilton says "nothing can stop" his McLaren team this season, the Briton claiming he has already put his Canadian Grand Prix blunder behind.

The McLaren driver lost the championship lead to BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica in Montreal, after he crashed into the back of Kimi Raikkonen after failing to see the red light at the end of the pitlane in time.

Alonso: Renault should ponder focus switch

Fernando Alonso thinks Renault should consider abandoning development of this year's R28 if planned upgrades for the next two races are not a big success.

The former world champion is having a frustrating time at the French car manufacturer, who are currently lying a lowly seventh in the constructors' championship.

and guys please tell me about the the interview on Formula1 com of some Renualt guy who was asked tht "do you remember wht u did with heki last year" he say " yes" the questioner "will you tell us?" the ren guy "no".

red light were on for a reason and that reason is when safety car is deployed you have to wait for the other cars to pass through. Well you also have seen the blue light also flashing during normal racing conditions just to give drivers indication that their is a fast car crossing the line so driver have too be aware of that and drive carefully going out off pit lane.

why ferrari calls both of their drivers in the pits at same time if their is some miscalculation it would be very dangerous for ferrari. Don't you agree?

Your first question about why the red light was on at the end of the pitlane has been answered very well by genius83.
As for the interview about, Heikki Kovalainen I am sure you will remember his debut with Renault last year. In his first race in Australia it seemed he had a mission to visit every gravel trap there was, and had a pretty soul destroying time. He didnt do well for quite a few races but turned his season around in the second half of the season and drove some very good races. I think what they were asking the Renault guy was " How" did they help, Kovalainen turn around his season, to which the Renault guy abviously didnt give an answer.

There is always a possibility of things going bad. What Ferrari must have thought is that it was better to call in both drivers at the same time given that Raikkonen would arrive a few seconds early, refulled, new tires and he would be on his way even if it meant Massa had to park behind him. Ferrari clearly though it was better then letting Massa stay out on track behind safety for an extra lap, and then come in when most of the field would have made their stops and Massa would have come out last. Sadly it didnt quite work out as Massa had problems with the refuelling rig, and as a result had to pit again a few laps later.

Ove Andersson killed in rally crash

Former Toyota team principal Ove Andersson was killed on Wednesday in an accident during a classic rally in South Africa.

The Swede, who managed Toyota's European motorsport arm for over 30 years, is believed to have been involved in a head-on collision with a truck during the Milligan classic rally.

Andersson oversaw Toyota's Formula One programme when the Japanese manufacturer made its grand prix racing debut in 2002.

He left his role as team principal in 2003, becoming an advisor to the team.

Andersson was 70.

Hamilton says he can still win in France

Briton Lewis Hamilton believes he can still win the French Grand Prix despite the penalty he was given in Canada.

The McLaren driver will lose ten grid positions at the Magny-Cours race after crashing into the back of Kimi Raikkonen when he failed to see the red light at the end of the pitlane in time.

Although that means Hamilton will start from at least 11th place in France, he is still confident he can finish on top.

by the by anyone hear about the founding team lead for toyota passing away in a car crash? The guy had a head on collision while competing in some classic car race... he was driving a classic volvo... so much for the volvo's being the safest set of wheels on the road...

he retired from his position in toyota in 2003...

On a different note, Jacques Villeneuve seems to be on his way to making a little bit of histroy at Le Mans. At the moment the #7 Peugeot 908 leads the field by over two minutes in the 11th hour with Nicolas Minassian behind the wheel. Should the #7 car win the race, Villeneuve will become the first driver to have tasted success at the very top in the three biggest motor racing events, the PPG Indycar World Series 1995 ( before it became the joke it is today), Formula 1, 1997 and Le Mans.

There is a general feeling that FIA is biased. Quite a few incidents spring to mind but in Mclaren`s case they got what they deserved.
As to why the drivers were not punished. One can make many arguments about that. Mine is quite simple.... throwing them out would have meant the circus that is F1 would have lost a lot of audience as the championship would almost certianly have been decided by doing so and the fact that, hamilton was hailed as the saviour of F1 by Bernie.

So who are you going to pick for the French GP? If you have run out of Ferrari and Raikkonen. You cant pick Mclaren for obvious reasons. Its an interesting dilemma.... Do you pick BMW and Kubica or pick a lessor team which you have to do anyway during the course of F1 Fantasy League. Given that one of the lessor team might actually score decent points here since hamilton has a 10 grid slot penalty, Nick Heidfeld cant seem to qualify high enough and is there actually two Mclaren Mercedes powered cars in F1??
