whoa! what (an extended) qualifying session. must be awesome after Red-flag. i must admit i (faithfully) watched till we had a red-flag and waited for sometime for it to resume but when they said, it wasn't gonna be until 1 hr from then, i totally lost interest. and i went to take care of other important things in my life thinking 'qualifyings are not that important this year' (Kimi) and then i checked the internet for status and whoa. ALO on pole. superb. but race result is what matters. so hopefully ALO will further extend his lead.

what i didnt write is that he will then come back so strong after the summer break that people will start whinning again, "its the car...not the driver".

Can understand looking at it from his point of view, frustration. Looking at the track at that time and the speed at which one of the Toro Rosso driver was going to the pits with a rear puncture, spraying chunks of pirelli all over the track and carbon fiber parts of the car all over the track. So much so that the car caught fire when it entered the pitlane.

On a street circuit there is no choice but to throw out the safety car. Can't risk marshals on a street circuit to clear the track.

It's not just him, it's Marko as well. He is the one who started it and Vettel jumped on the bandwagon.

you're right. i mean had VER parked his car somewhere safe instead of dragging all the way to pits and that too in a very reckless manner we wouldn't have seen safety car. but whatever :S
