I would rather say it is over 90% certain that RedBull will have the Honda engine from 2019 onwards till these engine regulations lasts. Reason is Renault have already told RedBull last season that they will not get the Renault engines from 2019 onwards as its part of their agreement, which allows Renault to leave before the completion of agreement if they want to.

The only way RedBull could have the Renault engine is if their is no other engine available then Renault are forced by FIA to provide them engines but with Honda engines available they can't be forced to supply RedBull at all.

RedBull and Renault relationship was sour because Renault seriously have some basic problems that they never able to solve including less power then any other engine, weak reliability, in the current hybrid era not listening to what RedBull suggesting to rectify problems. On the other hand even with all these problems still never RedBull management or RedBull drivers during or after the race has labelled Renault engines as GP2 engine like what Alonso did to Honda in Suzuka 2 years back.

Well Brundle's suggestion is ridiculous and Daniel could join Mercedes but he will certainly not joining the Championship winning team as he thinks when signing for them.

Because Mercedes could very well be on course to start losing its title winning streak and knowing the fact that in 2021 the new engine regs will be implemented its not a sure fact that they could build another brilliant engine just like this hybrid era engine especially if the suggestion to drop MGU-H is accepted as that is the biggest game changer in this hybrid era with Mercedes the leading team to design the best that allows them 4 straight constructor and drivers title.
