Regarding your last comment about Norris and the pitstop call for inters....

I wonder if you had the chance to see the 2000 German GP?
That was Rubens Barichello's first race win for Ferrari and it was in rather similar circumstances. The track was Hockenhiem (old longer faster layout) and there was rain right at the end with slower part of the circuit being wet and faster part dry. Rubens was being chased by Mika Hakkinen in a Mclaren and he elected to stay on grooved slicks (the normal race tyres had 4 grooves on them back in those days) while the Mclaren driver was on inters. Rubens had started the race in 18th place but won the gp while Schumacher was was taken out on the first corner of first lap.

I guess Norris was maybe trying to emulate that...his time will come!

Not live but recorded and highligts of that race. Well the problem in Russia was it was the first time they have a wet race, and all the teams have weather radar at their disposal so they know how much rain is coming so instead of relying on driver's instinct McLaren should have gone with the data.

I think Gasly is the unlucky one in the current GP as his incident was on the first lap and should been handled as racing incident rather then him getting the blame for causing it. Alonso has accepted his fault and apologized to Mick Schumacher and his team. FIA's penalty points system is flawed no doubt about that but FIA's application of this system is more flawed. Just like in Gasly's case, the original penalty document says Gasly was predominantly to blame for the incident which means only 5 secs penalty but they updated the document and put the whole blame on Gasly for causing the incident and the result was 2 penalty points on the license.

While in Hamilton's case in Silverstone, Hamilton remains a predominant party for the incident and only receives 2 penalty points and in Monza Verstappen was the predominant party and receives 2 penalty points. If they have blame those 2 incidents on each of them wholly respectively then the penalty points will be 3 and not 2.
