Fraud Alert:Honda City 2014 for Sale in Karachi

Thank you for bringing this up. My personal experience with this guy:

1- Coure automatic 2007: Mentioned as total genuine, 40k kms driven and 1st owner. Demanded 7.8 lacs. Inspected the car, car wasnt even close. It was all repainted except roof, engine was in dying condition, interior was pathetic. BUT, everything was shining. Told him the same, that arrogant says k YE KOI NEW GAARI NAHI HAI. My arguement, why the false advertisement. Anyways, wasted time.

2- Civic EXI automatic 2000: Advertised as all genuine, sparingly driven, one of a kind. Demanded 9.5 lacs. Wasnt convinced to visit that guy again. Oh well, visited with my friends, lo and behold, that was a shiny, all repainted crap aswell. Wasted time again.

Well now, never again. I will rather pay extra money to original owner, than dealing with these cheaters.

Yes, if someone says car is first owner, tell the guy that you will be making payorder on the name and nic of the owner

this is bimari of carfirst. technically they sell the car on open letter.

i backed out of a cultus deal after giving token money, because i was adamant i would make PO in the name of the first owner.

the person selling the car was adamant on dealing in CASH (7 lac rupees no less)!!

Yehi sabse bara masla hai. Ya to new gari purchase karo aur uski security ke liye daro, ya phir purani gari lo jis pe apko chuna lag raha ho. Not everyone is bad but there is a high probability of getting scammed

This is not good man. I have sold two cars to car first in last few years. They give relatively good offer if you need quick cash. Both the time I dealt with them, needed the money urgently for something and on one day payment time car first saved my *ss.

Bhai nayi gari khareedna bhi mazaq nahi hai . Fraud hi fraud bethe hain market mein, while getting delivery of new cars from the showroom I check the car as I am buying it from "chor bazar" . I have personally been tried to be fooled by two Suzuki dealerships and one honda dealerships, but Allah saved me. Though had a small problem with this same Honda city when we purchased it new as I was out of the country the time car was delivered and couldn't inspect the car before getting the delivery.

i have heard of some other cases too. the thing is, when you sell to car sure, they obviously wont transfer on carfirst name. they dont want to incur extra expenditure.

so they wait for a buyer, when the buyer comes along the car is then technically on open letter.

now when the buyer gets the car, it is upto the buyer to get the car transferred onto his name.

Its logical to keep the car on open letter until its with car first, but when they sell it further they should transfer the car before handing over the documents. The current practice may work for now in Sindh, but in Punjab where electronic fines are being generated on owners name this is gonna create more problems.

agreed with you. he always showed his cars in perfect condition and demanded high prices. Thanks to original owner of this car who timely warned us.

Car first is a sort of new entry and spending lots of money on their TV promotion. They must take care of their customer's trust. Did you ask them why didn't they transfer this car from your name? Yehi problem hai hum logon main. cheating everywhere

in my opinion, if someone is a lover or user of old cars, then he must buy in pathetic or bad condition and restore it completely. Almost everyone has his own trusted mechanic, denter, painter. Buying parts may be a headache and time consuming but if the car restores well then it is worthy enough. This is my personal view, you may not agree with it.

in my opinion, if someone is a lover or user of old cars, then he must buy in pathetic or bad condition and restore it completely. Almost everyone has his own trusted mechanic, denter, painter. bhai ab to new cars ki jo prices hain aor jo used/abused cars mil rahi hai... total genuine k naam per ... really ab to yehi option hai, buy an old car, restore it and use it .. thand program!!

Bhai I love old cars, check my other threads - currently working on a 1979 Datsun 120Y and have another 1982 120Y serving as a daily runner to places where the new cars can't go.

The only thing is that new cars come with all new parts and they are reliable. I believe even if you buy an old car in 200k and spend 1 million on it, even then you will not get the reliability that you will get in a brand new car. This is due to two reasons 1- quality of after market parts 2- unavailability of professional manpower
