Yup u r right it has happened to me too wenever the turn comes to check meter a guy comes and says sir shell has just intruduced its new Mobil oil and it can be used for 10000 and bla bla
Once i witnessed an accord owner was beating an employee of same pump for doing this fraud. My suggestion is this wenever u go for refueling step out of ur car so they cant fool u. But petrol quality of this pump is best among all pumps of lahore

Same happened to me in pindi shell pump i told him 2fill 500rs worth n another worker came up askin me abt my car within few seconds he filled up i knew wat was going on so i left my car parked n lock da doors, the worker told me 2move the car but i refused n went n explained the situation 2da manager at da time he didnt believe me but as i refused 2move my car he said sorry bhai n filled an extra 150rs

ther is a techinque used in peshawar for CNG some total pumps i go in uni road infront of kfc they try to fill air the do sometihg with nosel b/c when they start filling gas smell comes inside first i thought my cylnder is leaking but after filling from other places i noticed only at total puumps this happens and i meter reads more money then other pumps i fill cng and i observed that one filler is ok and the pump gyus try to move u away from it and when i go ther i insist on that filler to fill my car and it reads correct reading and no smell inside the car

As a rule, I always leave my car and stand infront of the kiosk to see the thing from Zero to full. No chance of cheating. The world is full of chaters, so beware and scuttle their attempts of fleecing you. It hardly takes a few calories to come out the comfort of yoru car and face the kiosk.

PSO pump in I-9 is fraud. I knew that from long time. Once I took new honda CD70 to him I asked him to full tank he filled 11 litres. Can you believe it. When I asked honda centre of that they said its not possible because CD 70 has tank of 10 litres.

also the CNG of the station is fraud. If you ask them to fill in of Rs.100 when empty and check that your car would not run even 10km. because it has fraud of 50 in it.

Now when the motor cycle people will go to them they ask them to go to the next fillers. wen you ask them about the front fillers they will cant tell you the truth. It is becoz motorcycle people can catch it easily.

they do like this...once they did when i was getting cng in my car i said full kerdo...cyl was full for 284....and he asked me 384 as i know my cyl never get fill for 350plus unless its full emplty i asked him to show me meter reading....he said i cant nnow....i switched off my car...came out...and asked for the manager ... kahir after long talk...manager proved that its was for 284 not 384.... jitna suna sakta tha sunai.....i almost blocked thier cng station for 15 mints and that was last time i visited thier sattion is in f-8 markaz along with hamdard uni

guyz as we all know there are many pumps which are selling leaded fuel and we cant do anything but them but not to fuel our cars from them, so i wud like to add one more pump in this list which is the PSO pump located opposite the CDC(central depository company) at the main shahra e faisal road. after filling my car up from there the engine was like its almost dead, each time i press the accelorator the engine do knocking this just killed me till i got the car filled up again with hi octane to lessen the effect of that bad quality fuel. so guys do not go to that pump i had a very bad experience abt it.

Shell Liberty and Shell Ferozepur Road near Ichhra are fraudsters. The tactic was the same-asking about engine oil. I couldn't do anything about the Ferozepur Road guy as i had my wife and kid with me, but i sorted the Liberty guy out.

Like Autophile suggested, it is best to step out of the car and check the zero meter before they start the fill up.

I have been going to Shell Model Town More since 95 and have never had any troubles with them.

well abt this new product trick im quite amazed to hear this as i didn't notice anything like this in karachi uptill now and even did not hear from anyone in karachi abt such frauds.

@all, let me share my experience with you. The Caltex gas station in front of FTC building on Shahrah-e-Faisal is another one from this lot. Usually my city takes about 25 litres to full when the needle is indicating half tank. On this pump, man, it took 31 litres to get the tank full. I was a little surprised and thought that maybe the gauge has malfunctioned or something. I did the next fill from Clifton Caltex (near underpass) and again it took around 25 litres to hit the full mark. I realized this over charging and quitted going to that shahrah-e-faisal gas station. Damn him!

  Once on the Pump of my locality, i reached the Pump with empty tank of my bike..!!!  then i told him to fill 100rS of petrol.!!!

he filled but i was a bit curious that 100rs of petrol is not the same quantity as in my tank..i asked the Manager, he shouted on the attendent k yeh iss ne 3rd time kya hai..!!! mei isse FIRED krdeta hon abhi..!!! but i asked him to not to fire him, but give him another chance..!!!

after that i always check the tank of the bike when petrol is filled,and i get the idea that its filled with the accordance to the money..!!!

well!!!!one incident happened with my dad:
he asked the person for a refill of 1500 rs.....one of the person came over and said ''sir apki gari tou inti purani aur achi condition mein hai .....(we were in a 86 rolla)''...my dad replied ''arae bhai agar ap gari sae rakhein tou achi hi rahi gi''.....while he was saying that i noticed that the guy started the meter from rs.450......it was a rip off.the guy didnt belive me

I agree. Choors are there but mostly ask you to pay attention towards meter.
