FRAUD OF HONDA CITY SALES SERVICE CENTER LAHORE!!!

Today I went to Honda City Sales Service Centre Lahore for checkup and maintenance at 10,000 km of my Honda City car. I asked them for 10,000 km service, oil change and oil filter change. The guy over there who was giving me the service brought the oil and oil filter and showed them to me. I was busy gossiping with my cousin when he started to change the oil filter. Meanwhile the other guy over there changed the sealed oil bottle with the other opened bottle which had less quantity of oil. When I asked him about this he said this is your bottle which we have just opened. When he poured the oil in engine I asked him to get the oil quantity checked by oil guage. When he showed me the guage, the quantity was actually less than the required oil level. I called the manager and told him the whole situation. He appologized and filled more oil to the required level. What I noticed there is that that save some quantity of oil from every customer and collect it in a spare bottle. When that bottle reaches the required level, they replace the oil bottle with the sealed bottle and sell it to other customer.

I doubt that they also make corruption in the oil filters and change the good quality oil filter with substandard oil filter.

Now the question is that we go to the Company's Service Centers because we believe that their services are good and they provide quality products. We go there and hand over the car key to them and sit in the waiting room and believe that they will do the quality work but the fact is on the other hand.

Please when you go for any work, ask them to do the work infront of you specially the parts they change, ask them to change the parts infront of you.

WTF. Honda oem oil bottle has the exact qty req for city engine 3.7 or 3.8 litre. THERE IS NO SPARE OIL TO COLLECT AND POUR IN BRAND NEW BOTTLE. these morons are notorious for pouring used oils in car, not changing the filter and charging for it. I fear the mechanic had poured used oil without even opening the seal of bottle you paid for. I have never ever given key to mech and left the place to let him do what ever he feels like. I strongly suggest to get the oil checked/changed. And always see that they have installed the new filter and poured oil from sealed pack

Once honda supervisor asked me to leave the premises and sit in fancy, air cond, wifi seating area dedicated for clients. Acc to him clients distract the mech. I plainly refused saying i dont trust your mech. He insisted and i told him that i dont agree and i wont get their services. He left without saying a word and i stood there ensuring the mech installs the new filter plus oil

In the recent past The Toyota Eastern always returns oil bottle. They usually keep the bottle in the boot of the car.

Maintained my city from 3s till 20k km roughly 2.5 yrs, always got the service in front of my eyes due to reasons mentioned above. There is a reason why customer want to stand there.

please always keep a strict eye on them even for 1k free inspection. they are big looters. we pay huge amount and get what nothing

I also own Honda city (2017) and have always got the oil change done by 3S dealers in Lahore (Honda Point & Honda City Sales). In almost all cases, the oil level right after oil change was slightly less than upper mark. On my inquiry from Honda Point and Honda City Sales, I was informed that it will always be slightly lesser than the mark.
One more thing, Honda 3S dealers prefer 5W30-SM grade while they also have SN grade for a little more price. But even on insisting I was told that SM is better for my car. Being an engineer I could not digest it as the only difference in SM and SN grade is the detergent agent.
Any ways, I still get it done by 3S dealers as outside market is also not reliable (at-least for me).

The day I saw SM written on my oil change receipt 20,000 km inspection, I switched to local SN and never went to honda 3s again. I think profit margin is more on SM thats why they are pouring it otherwise there is no reason for that. Use SN in your honda and you will feel the diff. It will be a big change in terms of pick economy engine response and engine noise

Important consideration is; while the world has shifted to SN grade (around a decade ago) why is Honda sticking to SM. It may surprise you that they are using it in new Honda Civic too.
A bigger surprise, Toyota's oil 5W-50 (Taglon) is SN grade, while Toyota's 10W-30 (Petron Plus) is also SM grade.

Some people suggest that SM is a must for initial few km commonly known as break in period. I still am not sure if this logic holds good. It was really heart breaking to see SM written in bold on receipt. No wonder why people call them stealership

These days engine oils have detergent agents in them to keep the sludge away. This is the reason experts do not advise the use of flushing agents. American Petroleum Institute have introduced these grades like SM and SN.
The latest type is SN grade oil while the previous type was SM. SN is better than SM in keeping the sludge off the moving parts even at very high temperatures.
