So after dropping a friend at Airport around 10 pm a week back I was coming back to home and on my way took my Honda City to a PSO station located at Sharah e Faisal just before Nursery KFC. So as soon as I reached the pump I got off my car and went to the pump to closely monitor the reading as I have heard a lot of scamming about it and got around 15 Litre in tank now as soon as I paid the guy and switched on the ignition the fuel needle had moved pretty short than I was expecting it to go up as I usually fill up around 15-20 Litre when needed so I thought maybe the needle would show the correct fuel a bit later but nothing happened then and I assumed some sort of scam was done.
Now today I needed fuel for my generator and on my way purchased a 10 litre marked capacity gallon from a shop and took it to this same pump as its nearest to my home and told him to fill this up at 10 litres and the guy filled it at 10 and the gallon was still pretty empty and he jokingly said " Yeh gallon par 10 aisy hi likh dety hn 12-13 tak ajata hai " now I was pretty angry and after arguing with the guy where he told me you could weigh it on anyplace and wont find any issues I took the fuel home and measured the difference I thought of going back and making a fuss about it but I made the mistake of not getting the slip of payment which could list it at 10 litres as proof so had to abandon this idea.
So moral of the story it doesn't matter if you watch the pump meter or not these scammers are using rigged machines and are stealing fuel on a daily basis from uninformed public.
Always take a receipt of the petrol your getting filled for later reference or proof.
Not all pumps are crooks you just need to find the ones that are offering just services in this day and age so even if that pump is far away from home its worth the mental satisfaction.
Finally lets hope and pray that people and businesses like these get some guidance from the divine being.
