Can you suggest a remedy for the brakes of XLI 2005.

I just got XLI 2005 and the brakes are extremely dangerous. i mean if you lock the pedal the car slips a mile.

Brake pads are genuine and new, tyres are new DUNLOP.

There can be several issue behind it, may be a failing brake servo. Or may be the brake pads arent adjusted properly and they dont move full.
Kindly get ur brake assembly fully serviced and flush the brake oil.
Resurfacing of brake rotors is not adviseable if they need resurfacing u shoukd consider rwolacing them with kabli/new.

Basically manufacture year (model) is the main cause of price variation. Now a days registration has no major impact on car price as its easy to verify things online now.
Other major factor is overall condition of car means accidented - non accidented, repainted or geniune, well maintained or maintainence needed, engine condition, tyres condition etc.

I'm planning on buying a car for me. My budget is 5 lacs max. My requirements are as follows

Good mileage on A.C
A car with low maintenance costs
Wife can drive as well and easily
I live in Karachi so there will be more stopping due to over traffic condition
The daily running of car will be around 100kms+
I'm also planning on using it on careem since I'm free during evening and on weekends
Cng Or gasoline engine is not a problem. I can live with either
Lastly the car can be sold easily if needed to be.

Thankyou guys, i really appreciate you people taking out time to help me, now to the point.I agree with all of you guys, it's just that i search on the internet a bit and found out these below points
1. Mehran is not a good option in careem/uber since people cancel the ride as soon as they see mehran driver has accepted your ride request.
2. Chevrolet joy is good but parts availability and resale is a lot of hassle
3. Santro , again point 2.

I've Chevrolet Exclusive since last 2-3 years and believe me I didn't face problem about parts availability even a single day. I do order the parts to Chevy HeadOffice at karachi and get the part delivered at my location on the very next day. Besides that, we have chevy parts sellers in every city, the point is you just need to know about them. Chevy ki ride apko parts or resale ki fiker bhula dy gi. by the time you'll ride this beauty (in well maintained condition only), you'll love this.

Santro don't have that much problem for parts and resale as compare to Chevrolet Joy/Exclusive. If you ride is in good condition (no matter its santro or chevy), I'm sure you'll easily be able to sell it.

Please don't go for Mehran. Please buy anything that is really a CAR or stay without car but don't buy Mehran. Cultus is another option

Well mehran is not the ride i will buy and cultus is what I'm considering, but as you said chevy is a good ride, I'm considering this as well and now will surely test drive it to know about its drive train and power, do u think it will bear of using it daily for about 100-150 kms without mucbh wear and tear?

Good to know and I appreciate your thoughts. Regarding wear and tear of Chevrolet, it depends on the condition of your car. No doubt maintenance will be bit costly than Mehran but if you get a well maintained car, then I'm sure you'll fall in love with the ride. I think you can go for spark too if your budget is 5-6lac. Spark is the latest model of Chevrolet Joy. model jitna latest hoga or condition jitni achi hogi, car utna apko kam tang kry gi hopefully.
