I,m really stuck in a fix... one of my cousin is buying a vehicle from an owner who is a foreign national and was doing job in Pakistan previously. my cousin haven,t met him. he exchanged a few emails with him after finding his add on pak wheels.. the individual says the car is registered as FN-****...
is there anyway to authenticate it? i tried doing on online verification at excise website but it wasn,t fruitful. Iam really confused cuz unless car is verified i have my doubts about the seller...

Jhelum registered says it's in good condition.
Never bought. A big vehicle before as Its old.I don't wnt to run to mechanics each time.

There is nothing wrong with buying from a foreigner. Strike a deal. Take photocopies of registration book to concerned excise department and verify the record.

You may also visit 15 or CIA to check theft record.

Dear Mr. Niazi ........ You have shown your interest in buying a corolla altis 1.6 ...... there are two things you should keep in mind

1. The new altis manual is really a very nice car with dual vvti engine and specially 6 forward gears and uits really a fun car to drive with great power and fuel economy but unfortunately

2. Altis has poor resale in market as compare to gli and xli ...... infact the manual variants sell at price even less than the price of gli, only full option car with sruise and sunroof has better resale so if you are really interested to buy this car then dont pay more than the price of a equivalent model gli and therefore 1,450,000/ should be the maximum to offer-

you have given incomplete information ...... cant guess any thing till i get all the answers from you ..... some initial things are

1. Personally visit the car and the premises of the seller .
2. Are you buying a local pakistani car or a used japanese car?
3. You mentioned FN series which apparently shows faisalabad registered car but still i am not 100% sure.
4. Just check weather he was an ambassador ???? such people get cars clear through embassies without paying duties and without documents ?????
   you have to be very very careful and do call me with all the information so that i can guide you properly?

Rs, 16 lacs is a very high price for a 1991 model cruiser .....better to buy a 98-2000 model fresh clear toyota surf ( amnesty scheme ) within a budget of 18-19 lacs with a 2700cc patrol engine and sunroof .....

before buying any cruiser just take care of the following things

1. The chasis is not tempered and completely in original condition with all the original documents.
2. Get the laboratory of the car from 15 before buying.
3. Just check weather the body is original / or has been replaced with the new one? if the body is original then its ok otherwise ask for the custom payment documents of the newly installed body.
4. Just check the engine and diesel pump of the car. the parts of these cars are very very expensive .... just for an example a kabli diesel pump not brand new one will cost around 150,000/- and the performance of a diesel engine is completely based on the condition of engine and diesel pump and nozzels.

I sold a Land cruiser 1994 All original with complete documents 150 000 km on odo for 13 25 000 (PKR) and it has a pretty bad resale too , the man is demanding too much for a Jhelum Registered car!
