Front suspension problem

I own a fiat uno 2001. Today my car suddenly had alot of play in the steering and when i inspected tyres i got to see a dislocated part underneath the suspension of right side can any body tell me what is the exact problem and it is safe to drive to mechanic with this part broken.

The lower control arm ball joint is shot.
Do not drive your car like that get it changed ASAP.

Brother should i drive it for like 3 kms to the mechanic or i should get the mechanic to my house for this fixture.
And in worst case what would possibly happen.
Plus is this a big mess or a small job which can be fixed in less time.

Can't say for sure but in worst case if the ball joint breaks then it can harm the other part's as well.
I would suggest you to get the car checked by mechanic at home and leave it to him how he want to take the car to workshop or do the work at home.
