Front windscreen replacement in khi?

hey fellas ,
i would like to know from where i can get my front wind screen replace i can either go to waterpump or saddar or what ever u guys suggest and which steps i need to look for when guy is replacing the new one and is there any qualities comes in glasses like original and blah and how much it roughly cost car is suzuki cultus thanks in advance .

There's a large windsreen shop in Saddar opposite to Plaza market, in the same line as Rimpa plaza, I cant remember its name but they have all types of windscreens and I found them to be the best in terms of price, also they will tell u about all the different types of windsceens and prices...

Plaza, infront of Tibetcentre, one big corner shop, with all types of windscreens. they have people who can change it too.

thanks faraz and auto makers i went to watermarket today geesh they have so many qualities of glasses there leppon and gas made madely but than they have qualities in them mainly china made and china copies starting from 1st copy to God knows how many there prices started from 3500 to 6000 rupees so i am more confused now , guess i have to visit plaza aswell .

get nippon. it is now oem in cultus. get it fitted by dealer or it will crack if fitted badly

I doubt an OEM windshield is for 6000..

well the dealers are asking 14000 for this job so i am utterly surprised how much difference i find in all source of different respects , and the guy at waterpump take guarintee for a year if it crack so i guess thats a good part .

still i dont recommend the market wala they use substandard silicon and rarely have the tools and skill. mine started leaking and i had to get it refitted.it was also guarantee wali job but this person insisted that it will cure when it will get hot and that never happened

around 2k for chineese and around 6k for duPont.. i would suggest u go for duPont..

margallar dude thanks i respect your suggestion but at the moment i dont have vast budget so i cannot afford to go to dealers plus i dont have a good experience with them .
takko dude now the chinese one cost 3500 i went to several shops today and check so many qualities although theres no original ones in the market sadly they all are copies now u have to choose how good copy u would take i went for a nippon one and the guy giving 1 year warranty for cracking and leaking and hes asking 5000 for the job so i will think today and read all the expert opinions and than decide what to do .

3m window weld is best sealant for windscreen sealing..
its so strong it can be used to replace rubber in the engine mounts..

either use good quality window sealant or get this 3m window weld.
there is a 3m office in karachi.. though i dont know whether they have this or not

thanks nfs i will make sure the guy will use good sealant though they have thier own tools and sealants lets see if i can get it right .

for costs and fitting you can contact this guy, i got my cars driver window repaired from him, and he also helped me finding a cheap side view mirror motor.

he would also suggest you what to and where to buy from he can be found at plaza markets opposite, where there are some shops.

My recomendation dont go for the Gas tempered glass. Go for the genuine alike as it has a plastic sheet in between which prevents razor sharp glass to break and fall on the driver. The gas Glass when broken can harm the occupants in the car. at max it would would cost you Rs.5,000

thanks chinyoti for the helpful suggestion and contact number as i already said i went to waterpump market and what i found there , there are 2 types of glass first nippon and second gas one which u already said not recommended the basic difference btw 2 is quality ofcourse and difference u already mention and surprisingly its only a 1000 rupees difference in btw 2 now the hard part is to find a quality one from there they have so many classes and qualities now my friend said they all are china ones because u wont find a original one below 14 thousand range now it just a matter of choosing a first copy i found a guy at waterpump market which seems reasonable hes asking for 5 thousand rupees with fitting and giving one year warranty and hes putting nippon one not the gas one and telling me this is first copy and really good one and saying if it crack or leak he will repair it free of cost i think its a fair deal .

what i heard was these are Indonesian, but i personaly think they are being localy manufactured
