AoA, all.
Have decided to sell my 1965 Chevy Impala. The car is restored and modified (ie, a resto-mod), with a 1UZ-FE VVTi (300 bhp) 4000 cc V8 engine and matching 5 speed Tiptronic auto gearbox (from a Lexus LS400). It has four wheel disc brakes, custom headers, and a custom exhaust setup. The car has been finished inside-out. It has a custom paint job, a custom interior (in fabric and leatherette), air-conditioning, a massive, all-Pioneer sound system (four heavy duty mid-ranges, a subwoofer, amplifier, a head unit, with bluetooth capable hands-free), and an engine immobiliser key. A power steering conversion has been done. The car also has a central locking alarm system. It has almost brand new Yokohama Advan dB tires (225/55/16) riding on chrome finish wheels. The final "restoration" and finishing touches of this car took place a few weeks earlier.
If there is a faster 50 year old car out there, I'd certainly like to see it! The car is staggeringly quick; offering enormous acceleration and top speed, and yet, is about as economical as your average Corolla once you putter along in top gear. It is about as comfortable as any car I've driven, and is a pleasure to keep. It stops equally quickly, courtesy of the all-wheel disc brakes. Handling is accurate and precise.
I'm truly saddened to set this ad up, but the reason for selling this beauty (a lack of space to park it properly, and allow other cars to take its place) is more compelling than the reasons to keep it. I hope it will find a good home and an enthusiastic owner who will lavish as much love and attention upon it, as I have. If you're interested in returning it to an old-school carburetted setup, I would be willing to part with a Buick 455 big block (7500 cc), with a matching auto tranny, for free.
I am asking Rs 1.8 Million for it, and this price is only slightly negotiable. If I get something close to this price, I'll give it to the first enthusiast who contacts me, otherwise I'd much rather allow it to stay parked exactly where and how it is.
Best regards.
Fouad.
