1) Asus O! Play

Arrived yesterday from UK. Only been opened to check.

High definition media player that plays all kinds of video and audio formats from USB, Portable disk, 3 types of memory cards and wired and wireless network. (wifi and wired local area network) of upto full HD video.

It literally plays all kinds of video formats whether its mkv or flv or rmb. and its media campaign used to say "plays all formats under the sun".

Warranty: 3 years international
Condition: pin pack, but opened

Contains all accessories: HDMI cable, S-video out, adapter, remote and manuals

Demand: Rs. 14,000

2) Sony DVD Player DVP-SR200P <sold></sold> Sold

Its a normal DVD Player ideal for those who have large collections of DVDs. does not support support divx or any other format other than regular DVD videos, Video CD and MP3 audio formats.

Condition: Pin pack. never been used or opened. bought in 2010

Warranty: none

Demand: Rs. 2800

3) Dany TV Tuner Sold

Dany TV Tuner. Used for less than 2 weeks in all for over 1.5 years of its purchase. not under warranty. supports LCDs upto 1080p. via VGA video out cable. also has FM radio. Picture in Picture. Remote.

Asus O Play is a really great thing. It allows you to play your movies shared from computers over regular networking. thru wifi. and from portable hard drives. and virtually any known format.

BTW great stuff OP and quite good quality+ reasonable demand, specially i like DVD player, can't believe how i missed this thread.

^rightly described by sajid. it takes input (video) from your CPU as well as cable (TV) and allows you to play either one of them. for cable TV it allows same functionality as a TV: gives u hundred channels, picture in picture. plus this tuner had FM radio too. quite a simple thing nowadays.

Regarding Asus O! Play:

as blu ray discs and large variety of digital video formats now available via internet, regular DVD Players are becoming obsolete. also the more modern DVD players now available in the market aren't enough to fulfil the requirement of playing all the digital formats and in high video resolutions that LCD TVs can display. For example you can't just download your favourite video in high resolution from torrents or clips from Youtube, put them on a portable hard drive and play it on the TV.

the solution is switching over to High definition media players that can play all sorts of videos from variety of sources.

Asus O! Play is one of the best media players out there. as compared to the latest DVD Players it offers the following benefits:
1) supports all formats: .avi, .flv, .mkv, .mp2, .mp3, .mp4, .rmb, .vob, .mpg, .rma, .rmv, .acc, .wmv,.......
2) allows you to connect hard disks as well as USBs (DVD players mostly allow only small USBs)
3) has wifi and wired network ports. you can share anything from your PC and play it wirelessly in any part of your home thru wifi
4) supports variety of multimedia cards

the short comings of this player are as follows:
no internal memory. (well no media player has that currently)
does not have a cd / dvd ROM (you can get a USB ROM cheaply from the market and connect with it)

OMG. I got it for 80 plus pounds from UK. m robbed anyways i am selling cuz i got the sense later on. I am a forever alone kindo person that watches movies on the laptop only. and cant watch movies on the TV. so i m not gonna need it.

But again i think the prices on Galaxy's website are either wrong or outdated. u should confirm. cuz its older model (HDP-R2) which doesnt even have wifi is more expensive. this one (HDP-R3) with more features is about one gran less. i am willing to give it at the lowest price anyone would find online. provided its price is authentic
