I've SOLD my Civic 2001 Oriel, MT.

Interested folks: please read the following carefully. I've tried to provide as much information as I can, as honestly as I can. If there's a genuine inquiry, please call or inbox me, but please don't text me.

I am posting my demand here, please don't ask for full and final. If you're interested, please come and inspect the car, and then offer whatever suits you.

Price is only slightly negotiable. Please don't tell me how one of your mates sold his total genuine one in 7 lac.

Here we go:

The car:

• Honda Civic VTi Oriel, Manual transmission, Silver, Petrol.
• Manufactured: March-2001.
• Registered: May-2001.
• 2.5lac (around 245500) KMs original mileage.
• Original documents, complete returned file, 4[SUP]th[/SUP] owner, me, since 2009.

The condition:

The Good:

Powertrain:

• D15B-3 stage VTEC + original P2J-003 ECU (Run on petrol & synthetic lube)
• No check lights, or trouble codes, revs up to 7500 rpms.
• Custom made short shifter, coupled with CRX DelSol Si close ratio S8G gearbox.

Suspension and brakes:

• Strong yet soft suspension with either OE or RBI bushing and mounts, original dampers and spring.
• All bearing, hubs, replacement ever done only with quality stuff like NTN, Nachi or KOYO.
• Brake pads are all Nissin, semi metallic. No local parts were used ever.
• Original 14" alloys in neat condition. Car at original height and comfort level.

Interior:

• Suspiciously clean interior: clean door trims, original seat fabric and clean roof lining, no cuts or spots.
• All power windows, along with channels and other rubbers were replaced last month.
• All electronics working: power windows, sunroof, power antenna, climate control, etc.
• JDM interior stuff like: climate control, SRS steering, cup holders, shifter boot, driver sunvisor with vanity-mirror, etc.

Body and cosmetic:

• Outclass condition: no spots or damage.
• Newly bake painted, last month, in original colour, with no filler putty at all.
• Superb paint quality, better than most new cars' factory paint.
• Absolutely no accident or damage history: car's skeleton is all in perfect place and shape.
• Front and rear impact beams installed inside the bumpers.
• Original Japanese flexible bumpers installed, no 2000 rupee stuff here.
• All 6 sparklingly fresh original Stanley lights, newly installed.
• JDM retractable mirrors, painted in multi-tone.
• Honda original clip-on window visors (rain guard) installed.
• All new splash shields and mud flaps installed.
• Original Honda bonnet liner installed to protect it from engine's heat.

Maintenance:

• Timing belt changed, long life Iridium plugs installed.
• Freshly tuned and fluids topped up/ changed.
• Honda Company maintained; with synthetic oils, quality parts and extreme care.
• Non smoker, vehme owner. No pets, infants, elderly, or teenage riders.

The Bad:

• 2.5 lac KMs driven, currently with 4[SUP]th[/SUP] owner, engine replaced twice now.
• Fully re-sprayed below roof and pillars. NO hits or accidents though.
• Minor, unnoticeable and occasional interior rattling noises, quite alright for its age.
• Rear arches were a bit rusted. It'd been taken care of, professionally, before paint job.
• It's NOT original petrol driven. It had CNG once, you can't tell though. Removed back a couple of years.

The Ugly:

• Tyres have had their days: just enough tread left for another 5-8000 KMs.
• Rear de-fogger not working. Certainly fixable, but I'm not doing that.
• Fuel tank has a, removable, dent in it. No problems to report though.
• No CD player in the package, car arrange original cassette player on buyer's request.

Do you really believe that, Sir, or are you being generous? Well, only other people who'd come around to see this car can testify that.
BTW, you drove it on 15" wheels. It rides much better and smoother on its original 14", worn out wheels.

Umar does the climate control work? Most people had issues with the temp sensor and couldn't get it working.

Btw congrats on the 5th Gen accord! I see a swap coming in the near future ha.

As far as I can tell, Climate control is working fine. All button do something or other: change the display or move about the air direction. I can't say much about AUTO feature though; when pressed, it runs the blower at full blast, I'm not quite certain if that is its purpose, but works for me.

About the Accord, I've always wanted an old Accord. 5th gen being my favorite. Unlike better looking 6th gen, it has proper size and presence. Unlike 4th gen it looks just enough modern. And unlike newer cars, it is quite comfortable and has lower chassis and deep floor well.
Besides, I wanted a Manual tranny, Sunroof version, in budget- and only 5th gen checked them all.
This particular car, thanks to @usama1, is in pristine condition, very well kept, and has a good owner history. I mean who'd like to buy such an old car, with little aftersales support and big maintenance bills, from a boy racer or a car dealer?

Well if you've set it to say 26 degrees and the atm temp is say 32, it'll start at full blow and then gradually tone down once the cabin starts achieving the desired temp i.e. 26 in this case.

Great choice with the accord(yours is the upgraded double wishbone or did the upgrade come in later 5th gen?). Never liked the CFs tbh.

Back in my teens I had a huge crush on 3rd gen aerodeck - my choice was met with utter criticism by my friends as shooting-brakes (as they call it now) were considered ugly back then. Good ol days..

Umar bhai...giving my honest opinion...there should be no doubt, i do have keen interest in the cars and i can safely say that you will hardly find even any 06 model civic in the same condition as yours, and obviously the money and time you have spent on the car is remarkably visible...i have searched a num of cars wspecially civic n city for ourselves n frienda n family ...and i know how mostly people keep the cars...just keep it rolling with zero maintenance...let me give you an example, if you will go out in a market to buy 2000 civic, you will surely come across at least anyone of the followings discrepancies in the car...
1. Engine noises
2.Blows....belts noises
3.Mostly dis functional AC ( owner will assure you that only gas is to be filled) believe me this type of rubbish statement always seems funny and stupid at the same time.
4.Faulty Electrical systems,like PW PS, EPS , Roof light etc.
5.Check light ON...irritates the most.
6.Suspension Noises
7. Untidy Interior.
8.Broken AC buttons/ Pannels.
9.Worn n Torn seats/ cushioning.
10. Gaps in the lining of lights, bonut, trunk etc.
11.faded head/ backlights.
12.Most likely Tempered meter.
14.If all well then documents issues.
15.Dented/ Rusted Body.

And the list goes on, i have highlighted the things which are in ma mind at the moment, it will manifold when one goes to purchase a car.

There is no doubt that you can fix almost all of them , but it will depict the mind set and interest of the owner and will chalk out that how the car has been treated in terms of use and maintenance. I have a firm belief that a ROUGH USED CAR is a ROUGH USED CAR...No matter what you do wid it...You ll never get the real pleasure and felling of the particular make... Atleast for me all the above mentioned factors count a lot and i ll just not buy
the car having even a single issue described above. No matter what the price is..

Do u knw market? If Yes than plz make a survey again and if No than plz dnt make such comments. My friend has sold his 2000VTI Oriel in maroon colour ISB registrd for 830k hardly a month back. If u knw who bought it than a guy from lahore came to karachi on a vacation saw his car, liked it, bought it and drove it back to lahore. 2000 civic is a hot cake it depends on the condition. If the owner has the car even close to the words he has written trust me it will sell more than 830k. BOL with sales i just hate ppl commenting like they know the market and pass such remarks.

Agha saab ! While commenting please use some ***** , He is demanding 850k or nearest offer not 880k.

Secondly, without viewing the car, commenting on the price is plain stupidity (in my point of view).

Please check the market before commenting on price...may be you prefer low priced car with below average and abused condition but now a days most of the people do care and bother about their time n money and go for excellent condition and they happily pay the deserved price...

I can quote examples of so many old cars with outstanding conditions who have been sold on their deserved prices but i ll not..

uhhm... 13 and 8.5 ... does it make any difference?

If not, then you can jolly well spend 8lac on a brand new Mehran, mate.

BTW, if you could just read all the original post through- and what @usama1 wrote about it in post: 11- you'd find that there's a lot more to this car than being an ordinary, abused, daily driven, old Civic. And I'm sure any old Civic fan would tell you that my demand is quite sane and realistic.
