No I don't need any reference. I know what you are talking about. I didn't comment on whether selling should be done or not; but I was just curious to know that can a person comment about halal and haram when he himself is keeping one, one way or the other... I did not ask it to offend you.
As you said, telling something right is good; no doubt about that, but one should also do right. I agree with what you have said about the buying and selling thing and I also agree with my thought that getting involved with it in any kind should also be treated wrong.
Conditions apply... Keeping a dog for the purpose of security might be allowed, but I am sure keeping it as a hobby and to participate in competitions is not allowed.
