AoA People I have a concern about the Right Quality Fuel for the Bike as we know Hi-Octane is suggested for compression ratio 11 or above And Regular fuel For compression ratio 9
So What About if a Bike has a Compression ratio of 10 or 9:6:1 Then what is the Right Amount of mixture we can UsePlease Suggest
Wailaikum Asslama.Use normal octane fuel. No need of high octane until it is mentioned by the manufacturer.
Refer to owner manual for the type of fuel to be used. High compression engines with regular fuel starts knocking under acceleration. If this happens in your bike, switch to high octane.
GD 110 manual shows RON 97 (hi octane) can be used in it. I don't think it has a such higher compression ratio. Its probably 9. Some thing.
In User Manual It Says Regular Unleaded Fuel only
No Specific Octane Rating
Yes it might a bit confusion for me As Well
Sure, but companies must mention proper octane rating
They surely have mentioned it. You only switch to high octane if you face knocking problem (pre detonation). 11:0 compression can run on normal octane fuel it totally depends you engine design.
I won’t feel knocking but i do feel Power LossMay be it’s my first experience with OHC Engine
I was used to drive OHV engine
It is my first time I’m using 4 Valve OHC Engine
How do you feel power loss? have you used high octane on this bike before?
No, but my friend owns the same bike he told me that after using mixture of Hi octane he is now not facing power lose at 5000 RPM on the other hand i do feel a jerk after crossing 5000 RPM bike runs Smooth without any issue this issue only occurs below 5000 RPM
I think you are right might be its just how I feel it to be
You are having power loss in low end. Can be due to any other reason. Cams design can effect that as well. High reving engine's power lies at top end.But the jerk shouldn't be there. What is the condition of air filter. You can use high octane but keep an eye on spark plug. It's tip will tell you about the mixture.
May Be the Jerk is due to EFI May be its adjusting the Mixture while i was reviving Low
What mixture do you recommend Regarding Regular and Hi Octane
No. If it's efi then use the octane which is mention. Ecu is programmed to run that octane. Have you changed the exhaust?
No Its Stock Due To Oxygen Sensor
It’s In totally stock Condition
Good. Check airfilter. Does it has obd2 port?
I don’t think so their is a need to check the air filter its only 700 Kms Driven
BTW I’ve also Cleaned the air filter on the first 500 Kms Tuneup
