Fuel average for honda civic exi 2005

Hello respected members,

Hope you are doing well. I have Honda Civic EXI 2005, it’s driven 98,000 kms. The main issue is that my car’s average is totally messed up (1st owner and car is only driven on petrol). It’s giving around 6.50-7 KM/L. I need your suggestions about what to do to make its average better, plus, recommend me a good engine oil too. Not satisfied with Shell Hilex or ZIC’s fully synthetic oil and Castrol. Your help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Is car giving check light?Try kixx or total synthetic oils.Which grade oil r u using currently.Check spark plugs,air filter,fuel filter,service throttle body,clean maf sensor with maf cleaner spray only don't use WD-40,clean fuel injectors.If giving check light get the car scanned and check for trouble codes with OBD-2 scanner.It should give 9 in city and 13 long as I have heard from people.

get fuel injectors checked first, other wise throttle body, o2 sensor or catalytic converter may be choked.
