Fuel Average of Honda Civic 2005 JDM

Hello Everyone

I am looking forward to buy a JDM Honda Civic 1500 VTEC (D15). I tried searching the previous threads for an idea of fuel consumption but could not find any. If someone has experience with this car before kindly help me out regarding the fuel consumption information.

The above link should give you some idea. But an older engine will definitely not give you the mileage specified in the tech sheets or tech articles. May I ask why you want to buy a JDM Civic? It would have run in Japan and then I am sure it would be running in Pakistan since it was imported. So the engine will have run considerably, in my opinion by now it would ready for engine work and fuel economy would not be that good.

I have searched down two JDM civic, one is manual and the other one is auto tranny. The point is still this car is better than buying a PKDM civic of the same model. about the engine, these engines go upto 300k if taken care.

secondly I have already gone through this link, it does not have any fuel consumption info about D15Z6.

i have heard the PKDM D16 vtec gives around 9-10 km/l in city, I want a similar idea for JDM D15 (auto tranny)

I dont think so, even the pkdm 1.6L is giving 9-10 km/l.

dear i am using d15b in car its give me 14.7km/l on long at 140km speed and 12.5km/l in city i am using silicon wires and irredium plugs and hks intake

so i guess I will be able to get around 12 km/l in city (I normally drive with a very light foot, not going above 3000 rpm)

You should get something between 10 and 13 km/l. Anything below 10 is not acceptable doesn't matter if it's Auto or manual.
People think of a Civic, and drive it, as it were some super car- and then complain about low fuel average.

Silicon wires, Iridium plugs, HKS intake, 14.7 @ 140... good for you mate! Our friend here is asking about the later generation, distributor-less, D engines though.

Well, not to break your heart, but let me tell you that your Silicon wires, Iridium plugs and HKS thingy has nothing to do with the speed, acceleration or even economy for that matter.
