Fuel Average of Toyota Corolla 1.6 GLi A/T 2012

mine gives 10-10.5 in city.... 6200km on odo... Do you guys think that it a good mileage as I've never owned a corolla before so no idea.. thanks...

If that is with hard foot, then its fine. I am getting nowadays 11.5 kmpl with light foot.

in my recent most trip to Islamabad & Return..i had a wonderful experience with my 1.6Gli A/T.
Travelled from Lahore to Motorway got the tank filled for 4700Rs. Almost 44 Litres.

Travelled on motorway on the way upto to Islamabad - Speed ranging b/w 95 to 110KMPH.
Total journey time on motorway was 4H 30Mins. we took a half an hour stop at KFC. so that is not included and hence we reached Islamabad in 5 hours.

the fuel meter shows the fuel consumed. the average i got was 16.5 KMPL on the average meter.

Now on the way back i came via GT Road. This is THE MOST INTERESTING PART.

Pics in sequence are the fuel consumed with KMs .. please take a look... at the end of the journey the fuel meter needle stands at 10% below the 1/4th mark! The overall average turned out to be 17KPMH (on the average meter of course). But if i manually calculate, the average is 14.9KMPL.

Lol and when the 1.6 variant came out,every one on pakwheels claimed that this car will do 16km/pl atleast.even my 1.8 does 9 in city and 14 at long run.

I don't have a heavy... cos honestly, this car ain't worth flooring it... it's so unresponsive .. anyway i have always managed to drive in Eco mode... still that's what i am getting...

The ancient transmission is the main problem (w,r,t. fuel consumption and performance). Engine is pretty good otherwise.

Also, I think the exhaust on these local models is not properly calibrated - NVH is very high at certain RPM levels.

i have this giving average 11.5km/L with ac you must changes its sparks plug and i think tuning is required from a good mechanic,

Well i have used my vehicle on long routes only, its hardly driven in the city. The avg speed on Info meter is 56 Km/h even then the average consumption is hardly 13 km/l. And use its mostly driven in eco zone. So as per my estimate it will give an economy of 9-10 km/h in city and 13-14 km/l on highways at the most. The ODO readings (Info meter) are also very deceptive as well. I monitored it very very closely on my last journey, the veh was showing an average 0f 15-16 km/l while travelling at 100 km/h where as the number of kms on the range screen were going down exactly the same as the actual kms on road. For example i compared both the readings (After a distance of 100 kms) and there was only a difference of 2 kms where as the average shown on the instant screen was varying between 15-16 km/l and i tried my best not to overshoot the eco zone

i want to know that is (1) toyota corolla gli 1.6L is present in manual ? (2) if yes is it present in ecotec version ?
(3) wats its milage on petrol and cng ? (4) i have heard that 1.3L and 1.6L gli 2011-2012 have same fuel consumption?

1.6 GLi is not available in manual! 1.6 Altis manual is there.

After reading everyones comments i thinks everyone is not driving within the ECO mode.my 2010 gli gives me 12km/l and my swift 13-14km/l.we have to keep in mind that the 1.6 Gli is auto and autos eat more than manuals.......i am also thinking of getting a 1.6 altis.for my fathers sake.....

My previous ride was City 2011 manual and it used to give 14-14.5 local in Islamabad. On motorway trips @ 130 I used to get the same as local i.e. 14-14.5. So corolla 1.6 seems to be doing better on motorway thanks to a larger engine

While delivering a 1.6 GLi A/T Corolla, the manager at Toyota Islamabad said that if the gear is changed at 2000 rpm, the car will do 18 to 19 km/l.

Also, he said that if one strictly follows the maintenance schedule, nothing would go wrong with the car till 400000 km.

Honestly thought I think managing 15+ @130 is very decent - the kind of speed suitable for a motorway trip.
