Fuel consumption: Does Altis 1.6 Automatic do more than GLI 1.3 Automatic?

Bhai, 1.8 has to be better. But your comparison is too wide, from 1.3 to 1.8. If someone has money, why would he buy 1.3 in the first place leaving 1.8? So max you can compare two consecutive models. Comparing Mehran with Camry kind of scene is not too apple to apple

mileage is 20k. same driving habits same city. im getting 10k/lit. on 1.6 i never crossed 8k/lit and sold it with 800kms on odo !

under powered cars gives low fuel average. even the above claim is false because gli 1.3at is highly under powered and it only gives 9kml in city and 11kml on highways. Its proven that out of 1.8, 1.6, and 1.3, the 1.6 corolla gives the highest average

@crude101 Mere bhai, your 1.6 was perhaps faulty. 10km/l for 1.8 is not comparable to 12/15 km/l for 1.6. I did a lot of research before buying, and have experienced myself after buying as well. 1.6 has 12 and 15 average. With this value, 1.8 is not better for 10km/l, if we talk about average only and not the comfort and other accessories.

bhai jaan. i drove 1.6 altis cruisetronic 2012 till 2017 and i never crossed 8.5 without AC. the 1.6 cruise has the same transmission and same engine. so you are saying that 2 corollas i bought were faulty. and since the 3rd one i own is not giving me 16-18 (what IMC claims), then this one is also faulty !

Bro i agree . actually people here spend deliberately on 1.3. 1.8 base model is totally worth it...just the goodies cover the price difference. 1.8 is considered a gas guzzler but its not the case. City in 1.3 is the best car for mileage..kept for 3 years and mileage was awesome..13 plus everytime in the worst of traffics with ac.

Guys fuel average depends on the route you drive. Same 1.6 might give 12 in lahore, 14 in islamabad while 10 in Karachi.
My 1.8 gives me 12-12.5 within Lahore these days. My Lahore friends are getting even 13 in their 1.8s, while islamabad buddies are getting even more.

Both 1.6 and 1.8 Corollas have same average.
I had a grande 2 years ago. It gave 12-13 kmpl. Now I have 1.6 FL it also gives 12-13kmpl on same route in Lahore.

This pakwheels theory of super ect transmission being crappy is totally made up by some cute little boys. Little do they know that this same crappy super ect is 10 times more sturdy than the CVT on any given day and night.
