Fuel consumption from Lahore to Muree

Hi Fellows

I am planning to take a trip to Muree with my family in few days. I am still not able to decide either to take the Daewoo or go by road on my car. I own a 2004 honda city which is giving 11km / litter average in the city assuming that distance is 450km it will consume around 82 litters on the round trip. let's round it to 90 as we may have to to go out of way for lunch or dinner in ISB.
So it seems like the trip will cost around 10,000/-

This seems feasible but I need to know if my theory is right or I am missing any unseen parameters. If any of you have traveled from Lahore to Muree on car, please share you traveling cost.

P.S
I don't plan to visit any places beyond Muree on my car (Nathia gali and Auobia) as i don't have any practice of driving on that route so I will be just using the car from Lahore to Muree.

your are calculating pretty good. One thing, try to drive on m way on 100km/h it will give you a very good fuel average. Secondly if you are not a regular driver in hilly areas then dont go by murree express way, use traditional route instead. Try to enter murree in early hours of the day coz in evening mostly roads are overcrowded that can bother you while driving. Be careful and slow on turns gradually you will habitual of the roads and will get easy. TAKE CARE. MAY YOU HAVE A SAFE AND NICE JORNEY. Dont forget to share your experience of driving and muree as well.

If your car is in good condition then you can easily get minimum 15Km/L from your Honda city.
Own car is best option and you should take you car to Murree, Just be careful and enjoy.

It's cost you approximately 10k for fuel, you might do 13~14 km/l on highway, further reducing the cost.

If you're 3 people, then it's more economical to take your own car. It'd directly subtract the cost of taxi etc in ISB/Muree.

IMO deciding factor should be the fun you'd have while travelling rather than going into detailed calculations. Additionally it'd be better to include Muree to Abbottabad route on your way back.
