Fuel consumption of vti and exi?

halo everybody, can anyone please tell me, is their any difference between fuel consumption of exi and vti. first i thought definitely exi will consume less fuel as it has 1500 cc, and vti is 1600 so it will consume more. but then i read that exi is vtec while vti is vtec+epro(i don't remember exactly the name of this second technolog)

My Exi Pros 2002 Petrol gives 8/9 KM/L in city....
n my vti manual 2004 petrol gives 10km/l

Exi is not VTEC...its a carries a simple D15Y3 non vtec motor

Vti consumption entirely depends on your drving style ..its 3 stage VTEC ..if you drive with light foot in city it can give you 12-13 km/ litre ,with AC 10-11 km ..EXI gives you 10-11/litre in city and with AC 9-10

I have used both for 4 years .. Exi pros and Vti Oriel Pros ..Vti Oriel is better in every aspect obv and its better in consumption too ,, tht is wat i always noticed .. Both cars were in awesome condition mechanically and esthetically .. in city with AC Vti Oriel Pros 9-10km/ltr Exi Pros 8km/lt hardly 9km/ltr acc to my observations .. VTi Oriel was 04 october model EXI prOS Mid of 2005 .

We have 3 civics 1 bought in 99 auto Vti and the other in 2005 civic exi prosmatec 3rd 2009 vti prosmatec

1st had done 195000 kms till last year until i sold it

2nd has done 90000 kms so far and friend not even a single tank of firat 2 cars has given 400 kms from a single tank and it did fluctuated between 5% now matter how we drove it. Although 2009 has a bigger tank and it is giving 9 in city 39000 on odo only.

I m not discussing the technology its the experience.

Kindly always share the full tank average

But i must add 17 from a civic is very very interesting share although i will not ever believe it but neither i wont say u're lying.

VTi is equipped with a 1.6L VTEC engine (D16W9) which results in better fuel economy and performance than EXi.
The EXi is having a 1.5L 4 cyl. 16 valve non-VTEC engine (D15Y3).
There is not that much considerable difference in the per litre fuel economy of VTi and EXi but when you compare the fuel averages based on the consumption of a full fuel tank then VTi is having better fuel average.

My Exi gives 14-15km/l with full time AC on with speed between 100km/h to 120km/h on long route and its CNG average on long route with full time AC is 140-150 km in one tank (8kg). Model 2004, Millage 175000 km and tyre size 205/60/15.

Interesting averages ... i have an optra auto 1.6 Dohc. It gives me 9.5-10 km/l on ac within city easily. Most of the times it is 10+ km/l within city. Had a vti pros 2005 once, surprisingly optra averages better than civic ... did not expect that.

well cant comment on 17km/ltr but my Exi pros 2003 109000 on odo gives around 9 km in city with AC n on long routes may b 11 or 12 but not more than this

my 2006 REBORN manual 42k odo gives me 450kms on full tank with 85% driving done on ac and Eagle Eye 2005 vti manual with 44k on the odo gives me 95-100kms on cng ...drove it on petrol till 28k kms and it use to give me 480kms on full tank with 85% drive on ac ...I drive below 2.5k rpm with a light foot .

it depends alot on the engine oil you use ...my friends corolla se saloon 2004 manual with 60k on the odo has started to give him 520-530kms with a.c when he shifted to zic
