Fuel gauge issue in new mehran

Hi,

I have just purchased new Mheran VXR. The problem which I am encountering is that most of the time fuel gauge is on 'E', i.e. end. Even though tank is half filled at least.

It gets to correct level once I get my fuel tank filled again...

Sometimes, gauge goes from 'E' to half after 20-30 mins of driving....

Please advise possible course of action.

Seems abnormal. Since your car is under warranty I would suggest a visit to the Suzuki dealership where you bought the car from. Let them find out the problem.

Among possible reasons; Fuel Sending unit in tank gets stuck, The wire of fuel sending unit has loose connection. As car is in warranty get it check from Suzuki Services.

I don't know if new mehran is different than my old 2007 mehran. The fuel guage issue happened to me fix and turns out there is a wire in engine compartment (below the engine and chassis no plate) along with other wires and is attached to the body with a screw. If that screw is loose or not present and that wire is not attached to the body, fuel guage needle won't work. I tightened it myself and it was fixed, no problem with fuel guage since then.
