Dear All
Can any one confirm me the behaviour of fuel meter needle located in Speedometer of Paksuzuki Alto model 2008.It doesnt go down when I switch off the engine. See picture. Like the engine temperature gauge needle goes down when the engine is switched off.
Please help. Thanx.[picture not original but used for understanding]
Happens in my rented Santro too
Try to flick the plastic with your finger or something, might be stuck or.... the mechanism isn't electronic, but mechanical
any more who git same experience OR owns an alto 08?
in my khyber the petrol needle stays at half even when i get the tank full!
Its all normal....

This is normal for all.
There are two types of fuel gauges. - One is very quick and it goes down when you turn off the car. - Other is slow and it remains in its position even if you turn off the car.
I do not know if Alto has the second type but if it has then what you are experiencing is normal.
I think this behaviour is normal as every one is saying.. I would feel much more comfortable if an alto 2008 owner comments here
More replies would be appreciated. I have to answer somebody today. Please help!
i own an alto , it remains same even if u switch off the engine.
Alto's fuel gauge needle works with switch / off as well, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the meter don't worry
