Fuel Warning Lamp in Alto?

Hello respected members,

In Pakistan Assembeled Alto there is no Fuel Warning Lamp/Indicator. Normally in Santro and other Cars Fuel lamp ON when there is 5 liter or less petrol remaining in the Fuel Tank.

Can I install it in my Alto? My Alto is 2007 Model and its a headache for me to know the exact remaining fuel. The Gauge is on red line even 6-7 liters in the fuel tank. Please tell me your experts advice.

That is not only a fuel warning lamp to install if you wish so then you have to add a guide valve in fuel tank also,which will transmit the accurate remaining fuel to switch the light on,this is it for which I'll recommend you not to do so,as you have mentioned its a 2007 model then by doing this you'll ruin your car by opening fuel tank and get that valve fit in it,god forbids if unskilled hands do this there might be a chance of leakage in fuel tank and for leakage there is no alarm or warning light.so its better to maintain your fuel tank above half mark to be in peace ever.

Any alteration like this will definitely not be fruitful for my car.

if u noe that wen ur cars fuel gauge reaches the the redline it has 6-7 liters in it then wats the use of the fuel warning light? as it acts in the similar manner. it just helps acquracy and that also changes with the position of the car. You should be noeing how much your car travels in a full tank, and get it refilled before it actualy stops. The warning lamp is jst an additional feature with not much use actualy.

while comparing alto with others in the same category, no car has a digital trip/odo meter Alto has it

although the fuel consumption of Alto is pretty high but still its ride is mazedar
