Funny incidents while buying or selling through PW

I had went to see a Vitz. I called the guy and asked for the address and told him im coming, after we reached he refused to pick up the phone, luckily we spotted the car and went there, he was an army officer, his brother came out saying he has gone to nearby market, khair we waited half an hour and he came back, The car was very good and we liked it and payed token saying that we will pick the car tomorrow, called him the next day and he refused to pick up, after trying continuosly for an hour he picks up and says im not in Karachi , btw the car is parked and i can take it, here comes the fun part, he doesn't know what a pay order is and is asking me to bring cash 1 million, i said not possible and after arguing for 3 hours he agreed on a payorder, we went there and got to know that the is no transfer letter signed , khair we took a risk and bought the Car and he did send it via TCS after a week,
Btw the Car was very well kept and a good buy

here my story I needed a car saw an ad on an site it was a suzuki margalla reached there and became angry the pics in ad were of black margalla and the one I saw was white then i asked the owner in ad the car was black and in real its white he said they were old pic I asked that the is repainted he replied the is on original paint I asked would you allow me to test drive it he said there no petrol in the car you can came at night and test the car I asked what the condition of engine he said its just like brand new the car has been rearly used drive it and you will forget what is honda or toyota I saw the meter the reading was 10 km I said that how came a car which is atleast 20 year old is just driven 10 km and when I asked the final price he quoted 200k more than the price he quoted on ad I was like a hell of angry the price he was asking for margalla was 525k

he wasn't fooling with him, what this dude saw was white primer, the paint is so bad that it fades away in ten years. at that point the owner compounds the car so that it is uniformly white

i share mine incidents
1 in pindi we were looking for a datsun 120y back in 09
called a guy he was on phone and constantly saying to some one parado de chabi uty rakh chabi idhar leya in typical pindi accent i asked him about datsun pori detalis deny k bad he said its accidented i was liek u waisted my balannce
2 i was after a car saw a cultus vxri in the add called him and arranged to meet now place we selected was near my home so no big deal for me but that guy showed up 30 mins late and his car packed with his friends who looked like goons any ways i chcked the car it was night time but i had doubts on paint so i told him its looks good from engine but tomorrow i will show it to denter and see if it has shower or its accidented and then i can come up on price also u take out sound sys as u say its 45Kn worth to take 45k out of car value
then i left next day i call him and call him no responce to any sms or any thing so after 2 weeks or so even i got alto and saw him again with cultus and he says wo yara yeh hogya tha wo hogya tha ab kal denter pe chalty hain

I once saw an add of a civic 2005 exi. The owner had written in the add "Gari bohot achi hallat mein hai aur scratch less condition hai". When I went to see the car, there were swirls and Minor scratches on almost 3,4 pieces. It made me really annoyed at him and I said "bhai Saab aap nay tou likha hua tha k scratch less hai jab k cars pr scratches hein". U know what he said "bhai jaan lagta hai apki Angreji kamzor hai , SCRATCHLESS " ka matlab hai "BOHOT KAM SCRATCHES"
I looked at him with anger and without saying anything, I came back to home and went to sleep .

reading funny stories here
one of my friend is a dealer type he keeps buying and selling cars
and what ever car i have it has lowest market in his eye
all this why because he can buy it from me at low price
he is always like
dakh alto nahi bikti kisi ko pasand nahi hai pesh no hai bla bla bla is se cultus le letay it se passo le lo new rickhaw R le lo bla bla bla

i say tu ma kon sa sale kar raha hun am i begging u to buy it from me

also my old mehran i shown it to dealers and dealers qouted prices were
250k 225K for a 90% genuine 02 model mehran imagine
i sold it for 315K to my dealer friends contact lol

while selling this is story i told my Dealer friend that im selling it and koi ho to tell them
now next day he calls me to come to a shoping plaza i take car there and wait and wait
now what car i keep i rarely wash it but mechanicaaly its always fit i take care of oily bits
so my friend says bari fit party hai paisy wali bla bla bla
i was expecting some corolla civic for them to turn over in
12 mins later a LHP taxi series mehran comes with smokey engine and painted white by hand lol
they come out of mehran and a mechanic comes and salam bhi nahi kiya and checks the car like on eye basis eye to eye
and imidiatly says rora da de hissa khatam de
now i spent nearly 6k 2 days before on all frons suspension new steering rack new Chimtay new bushings new
gardi new foundations car has 0 sound at that time i said on what basis he says mera 12 sall hgya hai is field me i can tell
i say ok i bet 1000rs that on any road check ur car with mine and urs will have sounds mine is 0 i bet
so mech says 280k max i say well nope
now party khud agy ayei and there was a 25 year old guy who fell in love with how my mehran looked he said sir mech to yah kahe ga u should revise ur demand i was asking 350k for it and i knoew itny mien nahi jani
so next day this guy shows up with my delaer friend and my dealr friend calls me that he offerd 300k for it de do pls
i said wo ajay lets talk he came and i shown him body that this part is painted and its painted from last owner time so i am being honest with u at the end we made deal final he gave me biyanaa and took car from me 2 days later
and most dealers said
250k se upar gai to mera nam badal dena

I always used to think that there are buyers around who are just time wasters/chaska parties but this time when I have been in search of a car myself through PW my opinion has changed since I found that most of the sellers here are time wasters as well. I came across some of the funny incidents during my search this month which I share as follows. Fellow members are most welcome to share their funny experiences too.

1. I saw an ad of baleno 2003 model lahore reg light/sky blue colour and I contacted the guy, the car was in bahria phase 8, since it was too hot last week and roza as well so I requested the seller if he can come till pwd or bahria gate but he denied anyway I agreed to come all the way till phase 8 and then call him for further road guidance. It was about 50 kms of drive from my house in isb and in one hour approx I was at phase 8, now guess what as I call him to inform the seller denies to receive the call, I called him about 10 times with full sunlight in my face but no response. Now you can imagine the level of my anger at that time but I kept myself controlled. I was accompanied by my friend so i asked my friend to call him from his number and to my surprise he picks up. Now listen to what he says "Oh bhai sorry sorry asal mein mujhe yakin nahi tha k aap itna door se aoge" anyways since in wait of contact with him driving slowly I reached till phase 7 so we asked him to come at phase 7 pso pump again we waited there for good 15 mins and after 3 more calls the seller appears with no sense of concern upon asking he excuses by saying "yar wo asal mein mera kutta susu nahi ker rha tha toh mein osko thora walk per le ker gya tha". This guy tested the limits of our patience in roza but still I take it in a funny way and we at home are still laughing on this incident.
