G10 Carby to G10 EFI

@margallar whats with the noisy tappets with every g13 in margallas?? my carby that has clocked around 195k on the odo without overhaul has started to make the same noise from tappets until recently but only on cold start ups..changing oil grades doesnt solves the problem..wats your take on this??

which oil grade you are using??i found 10w/40 the best oil for carby cultus

Got a virgin carb from bilal gunj, fixed its hoses with osama bhai, then renewed the ignition system, and then fiddled with tuning, still think changing coil and generator will make it even better

How much did you pay for that virgin carb ?

g10 carby makes less noise whereas the efi is noisy at same rpms..i havnt found out the reason for this..
@OP best of luck for the swap just be extra carefull with the wiring part.

Every mechanic suggested me to pour 20/50 because the mileage is around 110k kms. They says, tappets noise will be decreased nut I've found that changing the viscosity of oil doesn't effects the tappets noise. The only difference is the engine's smoothness.

Margalla and Khyber as well. Both make same noise.

dont try that to save fuel this efi engine is going to make you love your car and easy to maintain. no hiccups on petrol or cng. Only if you could make it rite

I know what charm it gives to drive a G10 EFI especially when you want to rev high and high .

In my case the noise was reduced very much when we set the tappets to factory setting, I believe the same thing will apply to efi cultus.

Your carby cultus has hydraulic tappets, they are non adjustable, I saw a 3 cyl cultus engine being overhauled, mechanic said he will take tappets to a kharadiya.

Maybe you have been using thick oil, as far as I recall, the 3cyl needs 5w30.

oil level fine..i am using 20w50 caltex havoline..i wanted to use 10w40 but as the engine has already clocked around 200k kms i didnt...the noise is on cold start ups only..once the engine warms up its gone..

yes the hydraulic tappets are non adjustable..m using 20w50 as the engine is old.though its doesnt reduce a drop of oil even after oil change intervals of 4000 kms mashAllah.
.still dont u think 5w30 is a little too thin for an old engine..or should i give it a try??

For an engine at this mileage it is probably too thin. Maybe @xulfiqar can advise better for what oil to use now.

I'm also confused about using the perfect oil for my carby engine. Some mechanics suggest to use 20/50 and some suggest slot her viscosities. I'm kinda confuse. Currently I'm using Kixx 20/50 . The mileage is around 110k.

i can't advise what to use, changing oils sometimes is risky, though you should use whatever is mentioned in the owners manual.

Fuel average is really bad. Once you press the pedal till the floor, the fuel needle slips down with a noticeable change. But if you drive normally, it gives around 8kms in local with AC.

O_o, nai yaar, koi masla hoga engine ko, itna thora avg hazam ni hota, maybe bad sensors, if it has a distributor, then the cup and rotor should be checked

check the tps output voltage for such a bad fuel average-if it has an o2 sensor also check its output

Got everything check on scanner. Everything is working. Actually its G16 not G15 and most of the drivers with this motors complain the same bad fuel average. All sensors are OK and the oxygen sensor also.
