our nissan sunny 2000 with 1500cc ga15de engine is only run on petrol. the car had ga14de but replaced it with ga15de now. the clutch plate, spark plugs, throttle body, ECU, fuel pump were installed new with the engine. the rest of the things are that of the previous engine. the ga14 was run on cng and so was this engine but only for about 5-6 months.
i recently found out the car had no fuel filter, so i installed it. also i have replaced the stock air intake system with a cold air intake which evidently freed up the car abit & let it accelerate abit quicker.
the problem is i believe this new engine is capable of producing much more power than it is putting out right now. as i open the throttle wide open in a lower gear of 1st or 2nd etc, the engine makes loud intake noises which im ok with but the thing is the engine doesnt go at all. it feels bogged down like its on cng and theres too much air getting in & not enough cng. it takes a long while for the rpm to rise and finally it learns that the pedal is to the metal and i should get going.
so what could be the issue?
