'Gaadri' repair or replace?

Assalamu alaykum everyone,

I'm new to this forum. My 'gaadri', which is the foundation just below the engine, is cracked at the front. I went to the nearest mechanic shop in Jauhar block 4, and he said that a new will cost be Rs1000.

The denter said he will charge 1200 for installing the new one OR he said 1200 for repairing it, taking all kinds of guarantees that the repair will be perfect.

Do you guys think I should go for the repair? The replacement will cost me Rs2200 and the repair Rs1200.

By the way, I own a Mehran 2006 model.

mehran front gardree is bolt on unit, get it replaced with new one, no repairing, almost all mehran's have it welded to the body due to aala quality janian denting work, you just tell your denter to repair the foundations where bolts will snug the gardree and install new one properly with bolts.

if mehran then go for new one as repairing doesn't seem a good idea in the end u will have suspension problems and will need to replace
1000rs new gaudri and installation is easy on non accidented car but if frame is bent then denter needs some time

i changed my gadri due to a blow on it because a affected gadri will cause handling issue better change it !

memhood bhai this gardi seems welded but it isn't in mehrans case its bolted but front bumper has to come off jumping rod and front engine foundation comes off and new mehrans have gadri which is 2no in market

Front Guarder or GADRI

as time passes Front Guarder or GADRI become rusted and weak which causes problems for mountings of the front jumping rod a new Front Guarder or GADRI is about 1000 and 4 bolts hold it in place on a non accidented car its not a big job Front bumper needs to be opened and jumping rod and 4 bolts and its the reverse process while fitting but a car which had some accident then its a job in which a denter makes some $$$$ but there is always a way around intall gaudri and all stuff and see if there is some difference on alingment of bolts of front engine mounts cut a whole with welding torch in the engine mounting plate and its easy and also make adjustments to the jumping rod u can make tires placement in the wheels where they will fit but go for some good dentor so frame can be pulled out will cost more but its the right way

It's called a crossmember.

best way was to first inspect the mounting points for damage and rust, then install new "genuine part" crossmember and tighten with threadlock on the bolts so it does not loosen itself and strip out the threads.

To preserve it - a very generous spray of body cavity wax is vital.

Guru what it is? the front cross section bolted to chassis with suspension & steering extensions ? is that called ' GAADRI ' cross member is one word, suspension hanger is another, front idle end & front bone etc etc guide me please what is actually a GAADRI ?

crossmember is the one i think on which the lower arms are fitted.

i think u haven't kept a mehran so u won't understand its part of front frame like K-frame on new jap cars

This the metal strip connected to front ends of chassis and just passing beneath the radiator.

Only in Mehran? Gaadri or crossmember is found in every monocoque bodied car. That means all passenger cars after the 1920's.

Same problem front gadri in my Mehran but my denter suggest me repair the gadri so should repair gadri bcz if u install new gadri is included labor its cost will be you 7000
