Gas generator buying advice

I want to buy a gas generator for home use can any one guide me on this? Which brand has more safety features and what to look in a gas generator while buying?

Well there alot of brands out there, every generator can be converted to gas by addition of gas kit.
It all depends on your requirement, brand preference and affordability. As long as you stay within load limits and do timely oil changes, all of them run well.
Now if price is not an issue go for Honda or Elemax and if you have a budget limit then Jasco, hyundai or daewoo will serve you well.

My preference is generator with built in support to run on gas. I don't want conversion kits attached
Any idea what will be price range of hyundai generator?

Well no generator comes built in other than those large industrial grade ones (10Kva and above)
For home use 2-5Kva fare well with 5 Kva ones able to run 2 inverter ACs and 1 fridge along with lights and fans or 1 water motor or suction pump with lights and fans.
Hyundai are good ones. They have financing options available as well depending on your bank or credit card.

I have been using Honda 2.5Kva for last 11yrs with self ignition and gas kit. Bought it for 34000 in 2007 and its engine hull got damaged so sold it for 10000 to a gen repair guy. Bought a new Honda of same Kva and its running fine both on gas and petrol.

Yes they are. Thats why i suggested other brands as well. They also perform good. I bought Honda in Mar 19, cost me 69000rs including warranty, self start and gas kit !

Nowadays all generators come with gas kit.
Its cheal and costs around 1000-1500rs max.
I bought a 2.5Kva Honda.
Please keep in mind that you dont buy these things daily, so better go for one which has been in the market for reasonable period of time rather than new enterants !

Get warranty on receipt that it's copper winding.
Gas kit costs 700 rupees.
There are two things that can go bad at any time.
1 ignition coil
2 AVR (automatic voltage regulator
.buy these two of top quality separately.
No issue than.
If you buy Honda or Yamaha it's warranty will be void when you attach gas kit to it.
And remember if you run ac on it in case you buy 5kva ,than within 2 3 months it will be a gone gas.
Better buy a 2.5 kva and run tv computer refrigerator etc and enjoy
No need to buy expensive Hyundai or daewoo homage .
