Gas generator problem

I have got a 2kva gas generator its factory fitted. and doesnot have a petrol tank.

when it was new it ran smoothly even with the choke full open. with passage of time it started decreasing.

I have to restrict the air flow by using silicon and with the choke closed.

If the choke opens a little bit the generator turns off.

What happens now is that there are absolutely no starting issues but on load (only 4 energy savers) the generator sounds like its in great stress. and shuts down.

Check the gas flow & current,if it is ok, then valve must be jammed or worn out,get it checked.

sir check GAS as in winters pressure is low and for how long ur using it did u tune it?

governor is out of order , it controls the RPM of the engine , there is teflon gear inside the gererator which is directelly connected with the crank shaft , that teflon gear is worn off and cant able to pull the throtel when you put loat on generator

What do you mean by tuning (tappet adjustment?)
Although I don't feel decrease in pressure in stoves You might be right.

I just check (as it is night) that the area around the spark plug is sparking.

I replaced the plug. And cleaned the wire with petol. I still sparks.

i have faced exactly same problem , get it tuned by a good mechanic. Only tuning is needed.

I cleaned the carburetor, the air filter, the spark plug and adjusted its gap.

Gas generators dont start or run on gas, If ur gas presure is low then generator mechanics prefer to increase the choke a bit,

If the generators working fine without choke, You dont need it, consider getting ur Gas pressure checked as well., Ive heard Sui Gas people can do it for you charging you some fees

I have already closed the choke (decreased the air) and even applied some silicon on one of the holes to further decrease the air.

We can increase the gas pressure ourselves from the meter. But the consequence is increased bill due to more consumption.

Now the generator works like a charm until 60-70 % of its load capacity guess the rest is due to low gas pressure.

Even after cleaning and changing the plug and the black plug. I can see sparking around the spark plug. How to fix that??

Replace spark plug cap,it might be cracked,and also check spark plug cable.

For the gas pressure I dont remember exactly as I just heard it once from someone but it is adjusted from a spring somewhere near the meter.

I replace the spark plug cap washed the plug with petrol and even changed the plug with other used ones I have.

Sparking is still there.

totally wrong.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if the gas pressure is enough to burn a small stove,,,,,,,,,,,,then its good enough to run a gas generator,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,gas generator consumes almost half gas then a small stove,,,,,,,,,,,,i personally using a petrol generator converted on gas for last almost 3 years and never have any problem,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i even remove its gas tank for batter engine cooling

I put tester to the insulation of the spark plug lead is it supposed to light up?

I tried opening the part where the ignition coil is. I opened all of the 10mm bolts but when I reached the last one the ratchet is too thick. adjustable wrench and other wrenches are making the shape of the bolt bad. What I need is a T-Wrench which i dont have.

well my Honda generator used to run great, But since ive got Loncin the guy suggested me to slightly turn on the choke, And i actualy have to do it, or else the genereator turns of, maybe the gas setting isnt done properly.
