wear mask. close all window glasses, OPEN GLOVE BOX

set the climate control to full heat recirculation & run the fan at full speed. wait for cabin to warm up enough.

enter vehicle from passenger side SPRAY BAYGON / MORTIEN SPRAY in short BLASTS BEHIND & UNDER the glove box. leave fan running for 10 minutes, leave car & window pans closed.

switch off fan remove key.

make sure to open all windows and run fan at full blast before using next morning.

I am agreed with everything you said but only against "SPRAY BAYGON / MORTIEN SPRAY"
It is not good for health even when it's smell goes away it is still there....

I will suggest to use dettol antiseptic liquid mix it with water then spray as told by @capsat

It is not as harmful as above spray.

dettol is useless in terms of removing mold / fungus stuck in ventilation ducts.

you missed the basic 2nd line, read again please,

when Duct is warm mold is soft sticky fungus gets pulpy, the insect spray will penetrate mold pierce through and blow away.

Dettol do work against fungus to some extent.... even he can use alcohol based cleaners...
But these sprays are harmful.... even many companies wrote it on back of there sprays...

And secondly we all know that the effect of these sprays last very long... means the chemicals stays there...

there is nothing personal ever at this forum

the only other way around is to dismantle the dashboard remove the ventilation ducts scrub & wash them clean. Flush & clean the HVAC lines reinstall test and energize the system.. any Automobile aircon shop can do that between 10 am to 7 pm at premium price.

ac guy refused to fix it coz he said engine is weak. So im driving without ac for more than a year. I dont think there is any gas left in the ac syste

Use lysol disinfectant spray
Tried and tested by me
Say good bye to moulds and bad odour from vents
Open the external air mode
Remove cabin filter
Air on full blast
Spray from where the system sucks air

60-80% ethanol... i.e. Alcohol based...
