Gear oil and break pad for yaris 1.5 cvt rates

I am going to change the gear oil for my yaris 1.5 cvt.
Toyota franchises are asking the price 19500 for gear oil
While in markets it is about 12000 .
Why is it that? Are they not genuine in market?

Same for the break pads, toyota asking 22000 while in market genuine one claimed is being sold on 11000

Market is full.of fake products u can buy from outside but try to buy from a reputable shop
Ask your dealership to charge u for labour charges parts will be provided by you they mostly agrees for it i also do the same

My experience is that Toyota buys the spare parts often from the open market and then sell them at the Dealership rates.
If you know a good retailer then I would recommend to buy from the outside. Make sure that Your car is not under warranty. Because putting the oil and break pads from outside Might render your car's warranty void. i know i would .

Bhai buy genuine from market and install from local mechanic. Changing brake pads is very simple job.Cvt oil change is also simple.

Once in 2011 Honda dealership in Peshawar quoted Rs 8500 for changing brake pads as labor and Rs 10000 for front pads. I bought japanese pads for Rs 2000 and labor was Rs 250. Total time to change was 10 minutes on road side. Performance was excellent.

Check the prices with PartsCentral, then any reputable shop can change the pads while for CVT oil change, search on this very forum regarding procedure of changing the CVT oil, and follow that regardless of changing it via dealership or outside.

It's similar to 0w16. It's a cvt fluid which is specifically blended for toyota transmissions by Idemitsu Japan.
You won't find anything in market comparable to this.

Dealership rates are always higher, and include taxes as well. If the difference is just 7k for gear oil, go to the dealership. It will guarantee better workmanship and genuine oil.

Isnt 0w16 motor oil grade? Sae has different grades for different oils irrespective of their viscosity

I never said SAE.
I gave a viscosity value of it just for the layman so they may understand the point. You cannot call it an oil either, but instead it's an hydraulic fluid. Whole cvt transmission runs on a specific pressure.

LoL. Believe me you're the only one mate who is going in that direction. Cvt fluid goes in cvt not in a motor.

I didn't guess or gauged, did I say that? Where are you getting such sort of assumptions?
Though, if you have googled it a bit then you would have known already. Also, If you have any idea about viscosity then you will understand by looking at it why I called it as 0w16. Find me an alternative with similar viscosity figures on a spec sheet as cvtfe.

The specs do posted above do not reflect a 0w16, had you googled you wudve noticed that merely similar viscosity at 100c does not mean 0w16. Thats why a motor oil with a viscosity of 14 cst at 100 will be 0w40 while a gear oil with similar viscosity might be 75w90, so just saying low viscosity cvtf is 0w16 doesnt make sense.

You said in your post "i gave viscosity value" so i was asking how you "gave" the viscosity value
